Aren't the interior walls of the house insulated anyway?

If so why bother?

In our case, our garage doors face due south. I suspect it will get mighty toasty in there.

Pros and cons on solar fans in the garage. Our home inspector said not to waste our money. Its hot in our garage and our door faces north

I have moved out of the attic down into the garage Heat rises, right? I actually think this might end up being an AFTER after market project.

Yes, the garage is insulated which helps, but if you use your car and gas cart during the day and park them back inside the garage, and have the garage door insulated also, the heat from your vehicles has nowhere to go.......
Kind of mixed bag, seems as though insulating the door would help to keep heat from radiating in, but it also keeps heat from escaping....

Default Insulation of garage doors

We just insulated our garage doors this past week and Pro Mac did it. It was about 470.00. We have oversized doors so it was a bit more. Our doors got so hot and contributed to the increasing temperature in there. We feel a difference already.

Default Garage

Had our garage walls insulated , ceilings insulated and the garage doors upgraded to steel with solid foam core. If I did not research and ask it would have been left uninsulated with the tin foil stock garage doors.
