Thanks for the links, as I read both threads in their entirety.

For a lot of the reasons already stated (quietness, no gas smell and general environmental concerns), I own an electric cart.

95% of the time I can do everything I want in one day, without worrying about enough juice to get back home.

I can however, also see the point of those who prefer to just having to check a fuel tank every so often and not bother with plugging in/range/etc. and are willing to put up with the substantial drawbacks of the lower end of the internal combustion engine.

I have even given thoughts to buying a cheap gasser just to tinker around with and apply my old snowmachine racing mod secrets to it, for a little extra speed and fun (think 'sleeper'). Given the cost of tickets for speeding however, I am probably not going that route.

Hopefully in the near future, electric carts will get to a point that even those living on the other side of the Turnpike in "the final build out" will be able to use electric carts with no concern.

It's obvious that you have many detractors, but I'm rooting for you to eventually and economically, proving them all wrong.

Good luck.

IN lead acid batteries Trojan has the market, the best is the Rangers, they add 35% power.

We have the best price on Trojan

Trojan T-875’s $649
Trojan T-890’s $849
Trojan Rangers $959.
So 8 rangers installed for $959, no modifications necessary? ty

Well it would be 6 8volt Rangers not 8.

No mods needed

I bought Crown batteries from Battery Boys. After two years and four months I had to have two replaced. I don't think they will last much longer. The original Trojans lasted four years. Battery Boys is a good company. Stick with Trojans.

Why would any battery Co not sell the number one brand in the golf cart industry?
