This seems to be counter to all of the ill will being spread about price increases and charges for transportation. Has anyone verified which pricing is correct?

I had provided all maintenance records when they picked up the cart.
I reminded them that all the records were clipped to the scorecard holder on the steering wheel and asked to speak with a manager. The manager wasn't available so I asked for that person to call me. A few minutes later the same person who told me they wouldn't do the job called me back and said they would do it, no charge. The job was completed without further complication.
My understanding is that there is a law that says to the effect that if a manufacture requires you to use their products, or services in order to keep up a warranty then they must provide it free of charge. Of course they won't do this so they say you must validate services done and parts used with a reciept.

I got a nail in my tire 2 days ago. Lost most of the air, but had enough to get me to LS. The dealer repaired my tire right away and off I went. No charge. It is still always nice to deal local.

I agree on dealing locally. That's why we chose The Villages Golf Carts. However, when you have a written contract that states free pick up & delivery it should be honored for the warranty period. Change what they want for future purchases but honor past contract.

I'm in the same situation and I was recently referred to Willie's Golf Cart for service but I've found some negative comments about him on Talk of The Villages. So I'm still looking!

All work is done at your house.
No need to transport a cart to change oil, replace plug, fuel filter and air filter, adjust cables etc.
When the warranty is up, I'll do it for $35. in parts
The serviceman showed me things to look for, where to grease, how to adjust the brakes, etc.
If I have other problems he said to give them a call. If it has to go back to the shop, it will cost $60 round trip, plus parts/labor.
They do good work from what my neighbors tell me that have purchased carts from them. However, I called them this afternoon to do the annual service on my Yamaha gas cart that was purchased at The Villages Golf Cars in Lake Sumter Landing and was told they will not service carts that are not purchased from them.

Bought my golf cart at Villages Golf Cars - annual service is about $100 and $15 pick up and $15 delivery. They even charged me $15 to deliver when I bought a brand new cart. They said they don't transport their golf carts - they use another company.

After posting this message last week, I checked with some of my neighbors and was referred to *********. He came to my house yesterday and did the annual maintenance for $75 plus parts. The total came to $87.64 including tax. It took him about an hour. Having it done at my house and not having to be without the cart for a couple days is a real advantage.

I've used him too. He's an expert mechanic and has excellent prices. As previous poster stated, it's great to have the work done at your home. We are fortunate to have someone with his talents in TV.
