Angry What the Hell is going on ?

My wife just got our renewal notice today. We have service by Prism for a house phone, internet and TV. She felt something was wrong about the latest bill. The monthly cost went from $180.10 to $306.00. I will never pay $306.00 a month for any type of media service, never !
Has anyone experienced this outrageous increase ?? Does any have any suggestions based on the service you are now using??

I have Comcast 150 mbps internet, tv with all of their premium channels, dvr, 2 tvs, and a landline phone. My bill is abount $215 per month. I also have their cell phone service which costs $47 per month for unlimited talk, text, and data.

Same thing just happened to me with centurylink.
I called customer service. A man told me my discounts have expired and I'll have to pay the higher monthly rate.
I said, nicely, that's not acceptable and asked to talk to his supervisor.
He transferred me to a woman that said she will renew us at the same monthly rate we've been paying, with the existing discounts in place.
Same thing happened to us last year and the year before.
I've always been nice to the people on the phone but firm that I want my existing rate or I'll go with someone else for my service.
So far, they've kept us at the same rate. It's frustrating but worth making a pleasant but firm phone call.

Buys media box, no contract, no monthly charges, add Roku and TV antenna for local channels (as clear as cable). If you have plain internet, prices are not expensive and you ca add Viatalk(.com) for about $8 month with all the callsto US, Canada and Mexico and every feature you can think of. You can also download a free viatalk app for your cell and use that or on your laptop when Travelling. Ask the college kids....they know it all.

We've tried them all, all crooks. Would love spectrum to head north of 466, but I'm sure that won't hapoen. On my tombstone, comcast killed me!!!!!!!!!

Be very careful when you call and have your original discounts continued because they will automatically extend your agreement for another 2 yrs. we found this out when we tried to leave Centurylink. The charged us over $300 to get out of the agreement. We now have no cable. We went with ROKU and watch TV via the internet

My bill with Century Link/Prism went up because of the expired discounts that I was told a couple of months ago were not due to expire until Feb. 26. Turns out that one had expired just before that! Spoke with someone (supervisor?) and was given a price until Nov. Then I will go with internet price for life. We have home phone internet and Prism. Prism is the best thing out there and I really like it but all of this BS is a hassle!

We switched from Centurylink to Direct TV and kept the Century link phone and internet. Our plan was to increase to $300 for March.

We have no way to know what you have signed up for at $306. We also have the triple play computer, TV and phone from Comcast and our bill is about the $180 that you were previously paying.

Truth, I do not know who Prism is BUT, I would contact their competitors and get BIDS for your business.

That reported 306 could be an error, COULD BE A CLAIMED ERROR, or the company for some reason does not want your business.

NOW as an expert on the FOUR STOOGES, I offered to send them pictures. YOU CAN'T MAKE THIS UP-COMCAST-has no way to receive e-mails. ALL OVER AGAIN-they send a guy who can only do from the home to the box. Need another crew to handle the cut cable. Two more days and they sent a crew to bury a cable. The new cable is about an inch and a half in diameter compared to the 3/8 inch cable we had before.

COMCAST has hired a new top executive out of their Pennsylvania office. I know this because I have the names OR GIVEN NAME of each person I dealt with at COMCAST.
