My neighbor and I both had bad experiences with Nickel Tile in Lake Sumter landing. Be careful ! MAKE SURE you get EVERYTHING in writing. They have been in business for many years and it seems that allows them to forget what good customer service is supposed to be. My neighbor and I won't forget the unfortunate, poor experience with Nickel Tile. There are other flooring contractors around the Villages with whom I wish I had done business. Live and learn !

Can you please tell us what problems you and your neighbor had? Were they both the same types of problems? Did you contact the owner and tell them what went wrong? I ask all these things as we are moving down next year and we were considering using them.

Nickle Tile laid our carpet. After 3 years we have rolls and streched areas in every room. My wife called 2 weeks ago to have someone give us an estimate on stretching, they were to call that monday, no call, still waiting. Customer Service ?

Make sure you get a second measurement if you have having wall to wall carpeting installed by Nickel Tile.
I had Nickel measure my house for the wall to wall carpet and give me a figure. I then had Lowe's do measurement for the same carpet and it was a huge difference in the square footage. Would have added up to a large difference. Plus, Lowe's gives a 10% discount just for having served in the Military. |

Sorry to hear of the problems you folks are reporting. This summer we had them remove the carpeting and pad from the main area and hallway of our 3BR "cottage" then install a floating wood laminate floor. They also had to chisel the 3 foot square entry flooring that is normally ceramic tile to put the laminate in its place. They were fast, cleaned up everything and finished before they estimated they would done. It's been 3 to 4 months now with the new floor and it still looks great with no problems showing up. Maybe someone didn't write down your phone number correctly - and yes that too is poor customer service - a not too angry second call might be a great start toward a proper resolution. I'm not at connected to the company but think you need to re-engage them.

Nickell did the tile in our lanai - good job, nice workmen and good staff. Will use them again
