Just to give you an update - I eventually went with a moving company. I didn't feel that I could accurately gauge whether I could manage with only one pod and two pods was going to be at least as much (if not more) than a mover.

My experience with the mover couldn't have been better. Although I packed a lot myself it would have been a nightmare packing everything. Since my major goal was to make this move as stressless as possible, I was willing to pay more. As it turns out I actually got some money back.
