There is an ad here offering The Villages Monthly newsletter for $19, but when I click on "Subscribe" the price is shown as $27.

I received this email two days ago. Perhaps the deadline for the 30% off is over. If so I'd tell them to go ..... (you get the idea)

If you haven't subscribed yet, you still have about 24 hours to save 30% off the regular subscription price.

Get 12 issues of both the mail and email editions for just $19/year.

Never heard of it and never saw a sample. I would like to see a sample before I would commit to those prices. Most magazines are not worth that price.

The ad for this product went up on TOTV September 27. The special offer expired three days later. When we asked him why there was such a short time period, he canceled his advertising and asked for a refund. We obliged.

I also add, that if you do go to this individuals site to order this newsletter, please be aware that he is also offering another book. Your shopping cart may automatically have this book check marked for purchase and you may have to un-check it.

The first time I went to the site to look at this newsletter offer, there was a check mark in the box for the other book at a price of $39.95. Be careful.

Default Hyperinflation

Tonight the $27 is listed as a temporary discount and the regular price is now $39! Let's all take a pass on this ripoff.

Some people don't use a gun to rob you.

It makes my blood boil, that there are those who think that just because we are of a certain age, we have become stupid.

And I will further hi jack this thread to say that when I return to the villages that not only do people look directly at me, but they smile most of the time.

Many younger people outside the bubble can't seem to "see" me.

Gracie? You sent the above message at 4:44 a.m. this morning. I thought I was the only fool that got up that early. Nice message by the way.

I see that he has now removed his other book from the shopping cart. Originally, when you clicked on the newsletter, both are in your cart.

Guess he realized he couldn't get anything past the Administrator.

I ordered it yesterday, but don't know if it's good or bad, worth the price or not. I paid $27 and then sent a PM to the gentleman requesting the discount and got it 2 hours later. Like I said, don't know if it's good or bad, but he did do what he said he would with the discount.

Why would we want to pay for a Village Monthly Newsletter when IMO we can get updates on TOTV website, thru the Daily Sun, word of mouth, etc.? Just my 2 cents.
