I was watching the news this morning when it was pointed out that this is the first time a mid air explosion and destruction of a plane in mid air has ever been photographed; usually a plane crashes and people have to go looking for it. It appears to have been a planned assassination to frighten anyone else that wants to remove Putin from power.

Putin was in the KGB, they weren't choir boys and the organization was not a prayer group! Putin is a megalomaniac and you don't cross people like that. Stalin was the same, you don't make yourself appear as a threat to their power because you will disappear. I'm surprised it took so long.
