The distinction is irrelevant. Not even all biologists agree on it. It only matters to the “experts” on this list who like to display their “intelligence.”

Quit waiting on a vaccine and petition our government to release the 63 million doses of hydroxochloroquine. This drug (much maligned by so called researchers and those beholden to big Pharma and Bill Gates) has been proven effective by doctors all over the country, especially for prevention and early onset treatment. Available over the counter around the world but forbidden in the U.S.A. Go figure.

I am neither a doctor nor a scientist so I’ll relate what I’ve heard in layman’s terms. I’ve heard that infectious things like viruses can last inactively in frozen ice indefinitely. Yes, thousands of years or longer. When defrosted they can become active. That is why some are concerned about glaciers melting. They don’t know what they may contain from long ago. Others are concerned about what we may release from places like the rain forest as we continue to move deeper into it. The fact is, although we think we’re hot stuff, we’re just another species on this earth and there probably is stuff we cannot even see that’s deadlier than Ebola. So in my opinion we should try to live life to its fullest and enjoy it as much as we can as we don’t know what tomorrow brings.

Put in such high hopes for a vaccine that’s going to save us all it’s just a little over reach, we’ve had the flu vaccine and flu shots for years and years and years and it doesn’t stop or prevent the flu.

We know that the theory that "the virus can't live above 77 degrees" is obviously a myth. Still lots of cases in the Southern states especially.

Just take the proper precautions and don’t worry about it.

Oh my goodness! The sky is falling again.
There must be a new virus out today that removes common sense from seniors.

Since the virus survives cold temperatures, perhaps I can kill it by wearing heated gloves? Hmmm, have to check to see at what temperature the virus dies.

Default Ohiobuckeye if any of

If any of us really knew the answer. We could wash our hands for a half hr. or use a whole bottle of sanitizer then 5 sec. later touch something that’s contaminated. Then what? Are we never to touch anything. Or wear gloves then as soon as we touch something change them again. But as long as we don’t listen about social distancing like the protesters this virus will probably continue, because there’s always a know it all out there that think they know everything or they think they’re some kind of Dr. I pretty much do what they says, but are they right, heck I don’t know but so far I seem healthy but who knows!

When my son was very young he had a problem in school. The teacher informed us that he would not respond to her. I talked to my son about it and asked him why he wouldn’t respond. He finally disclosed that he wouldn’t respond to her questions because he didn’t know the answer. I taught him that responding by “I don’t know the answer” was the answer. I don’t know where I got that bright response from. Guess I was just lucky. Anyway, like you I don’t have any of the answers to this virus but I am a know-it-all. When asked will a vaccine be available? I answer “I don’t know”. When asked if a mask good or bad for you? I answer, “I don’t know”. So, I’m a know-it-all in that I’m positive that I don’t know anything about this virus and am man enough to admit it. I know that I don’t know. How’s that for logic.

RNA viruses are often stored at minus 80 Celsius. [-112 F]
Thanks for your expertise.

The virus is covered with a fatty envelope that allows it to attach to surfaces. The“Soap molecules can pry themselves into the fatty layer of this particular virus and break it up, thus inactivating the virus.” for more specifics, see:Coronavirus: Why soap works better than hand sanitizer - UCHealth Today
That is one very informative link!

The US media does NOT control the governments of Europe, Australia, and other nations. So, ask yourself WHY ? do they NOT want US citizens traveling to their countries? Please pay attention to what IS happening in the world - for my and all of our sakes!!!

Kudos for philosophical and big picture thinking.

In a transparent society you can know what you don't know. That is not true in all societies. Truths can be hidden.
