Who in their right mind would pay to see a golf tournament when it’s on TV?

actually all that is going on in pro sports has 'freed me' from my compulsive behavior of never wanting to miss an NFL game that the team I follow was in

so, no more having to watch Monday, Thursday and Sunday night games....last year I asleep in the chair for most of the 4th quarter anyway....oh btw, for anyone that doesn't stay up late...they don't run a 'test pattern' after midnight anymore

I thought the same thing until I went to the final day of the 1999 Ryder Cup at The Country Club in Brookline and watched first hand the greatest final day comeback in history. It was the most electrifying sporting event I ever had the pleasure of witnessing and would not have been the same watching it on TV.

Sports being cancelled because of Covid ‘freed me’ from the same compulsive sports watching.

I have not been a fan of the NBA since the days of Magic Johnson, Larry Bird or Michael Jordan. The players today just do not make we want to get interested in the game. I am a Cubs fan, but not a baseball fan. I cannot name one player that plays for Toronto, Baltimore, or even Tampa. Don’t care. Same for the NFL, I follow the Colts but do not care about the rest. Have not missed sports all that much. The WNBA? Are they still playing?

Looks like hockey has joined the boycott. That leaves golf as the remaining sport worth watching, of course along with womens beach volleyball.

Hoping that lack of funding for players salaries make them realize they are performers and people are not really interested in their point of view.

I quit watching sports long ago. Too many thugs in their ranks that the owners and the NFL, NBA, etc. weren't willing to kick out of the profession. Great role model for the young sports fans, NOT! Don't lay out the "it's not all of them" because the good ones didn't ostracize the bad ones or demand the owners get rid of them. You are known by who you associate with.

Roger Goodell killed the couch potato sport I loved best. First the knee, then sucking up to Colin and apologizing was it .. I feel sorry for the hard working college kids probably missed their gravy train. On top of that, the BIG 10 isnt even playing on Saturdays this year .. Well, at least i wont be throwing Nerf bricks at the TV any more ..

So, are you tired of the activism in pro sports? Have you stopped watching?

You have to admit... golf continues to "fly underneath the radar." I haven't seen anyone on the pro circuit wear a "BLM" shirt. In fact, none of the pro golf players are jumping into this controversy.

I love this. They are just playing the sport they love and we just get to watch it. Sigh...
I watch golf, no politics, no blm, no bull, I watch the news for politics and that is getting led . Who cares what gang bangers this. Don’t want to get shot, obey the police, plane and simple.

Obviously, you did not see Cameron Champ on the PGA Tour yesterday with, one white golf shoe, and one black shoe with BLM written on them.
