I would guess because there was no cell phone footage. The body cam footage wasn't released until much, much later. in fact the following from Dallas newspaper:

Did you ever hear of Tony Timpa before I posted his name? Of course you didn’t. His story wasn’t on every news network 24/7 for days. There were no riots, no calls for police reform. No celebrities spoke out on his behalf. Please, the only similarity is they died the same way, the big difference was the color of their skin!

Actually the officers involved in Tony Timpa’s death were never even charged with a crime. Could you imagine the outcry if that happened to the officers in the Floyd case...
