I am still uncomfortable being in close proximity with others. I suffer with allergies and sneeze fits often. I realize that masks may have contributed to escaping the flu and common colds last year. Is it possible some of the above mentioned mask irritations aren’t really about someone wearing a mask?

Default Beliefs are more valid than science?

I understand that you feel that your beliefs are every bit as valid as the results of evolving scientific evidence and the advice of experts. For those that trust science and experts, I refer you to When You’ve Been Fully Vaccinated | CDC.

There is a lot of new information .... the latest published Israeli study of vaccinated nurses shows 0.14% chance of getting the virus and nearly 0% (0.03%) of getting any symptoms at all. If you are vaccinated you are not getting the virus and you are not spreading the virus either. Wearing a mask is a polite 'nod' to society. Vaccination is the key.

Simply stated masks (not respirators) protect others more than the person wearing the mask especially if the mask has EVER been used before.... [Think of a hospital operating room].

Best way to protect yourself is by practicing rigorous hand hygiene and guarding against any contact with a surface that you do not control... Do you touch your seat belt buckle or inside car door after shopping AND before sanitizing your hands?

Then there's the whole conversation about vaccination...

Be well, enjoy your life ... Do what's best for you and yours...just think.

Is the person making that statement also claiming a moral superiority over persons who choose not to wear masks and not benefit others?

I seem to recall the Lone Ranger saying these exact words to Tonto toward the end of the very first episode of that series

You are reading too much into a brief statement. Ask the speaker if you have questions. I would make the same statement about masks since I have been vaccinated and feel stronger than before. I also wear the mask to slightly protect me from variants.

That makes no sense.

I don't like the color lavender. out of respect for me don't wear that color.

Common sense is not smoking because it is the easiest preventable cause of cancer.

Wearing a mask is most certainly not common sense.

There were over 1,000 people Friday who wouldn't agree with you today. Fact is, they can't agree with anything today, they died of Covid over the weekend. Covid may be over for you but it is not for the tens of thousands contracting it each day and the hundreds dying from it each day.

You do you but don't spread misinformation that could get others killed.

Wearing a mask should not be a moral issue. The way I see it, if the experts are wrong like a fool I've been walking around for months with a piece of cloth strapped to my face. If on the other hand they are 1% right I could not only be saving my life, but also a love one.
I think I'll be a fool until the death toll hits 0.

Default Moral

Only a simple statement of fact. You wear masks to stop your spittle from reaching others, thereby protecting them. If everyone wears a mask everyone is protected from each other’s spit. Unless you wear an N 95 mask , all masks don’t protect you, but protect others. Morally right thing to do in my opinion. Everyone makes their own decision as to what they want.

If Snopes is the most biased source ever and the least credible there is then you haven't been paying attention to the BS that is being spread around these message boards.

Somehow the terms "biased" and "least credible" no longer have to do with truth but have come to mean "not what I want to believe."
