Thank God Chicago, NYC and Minneapolis have some of the most strict gun laws in the country. I hope the social workers can keep up. Can you even imagine a life worth living that doesn't include the 2nd ammendment.

I see either speaking out, whether for or against, or being silent is a no-win situation. You will be considered racist.

Not too hard to figure out why.
The difference is the police are suppose to be the good guys.

The police are the good guys. A couple of bad apples doesn't spoil the whole bunch just as a couple of rotten democratic politicians doesn't spoil the whole congress.

The press does not sweep the violence under the table . I look at and read parts of at least 4 or 5 newspapers a day , they not only report the violence , but the human interest stories of good people who suffer and struggle and young men who make who are lost so early because of the lack of opportunity to succeed. I’m making no excuses, but gang life looks awfully good to a young man with no prospects , I know this first hand because I was one of those young men

The press, by and large, is corrupt. "Journalism" of old is dead, replaced by agenda driven rhetoric with a few facts tossed in - if they support the agenda. Thank God for the internet where, at lease, we can search for differing views of "the news" and try to sort it out for ourselves.

Food for thought, or maybe a call to arms . . . .

Suppose a militant group prone to and advocating civil disturbance, violence, looting and destruction were to find a target for their next insurrection. An area or community let’s say that was nearly 100% White. Maybe located in the “Racist South”. One where “Privilege” was on display and throw in a population made up of apparently old, weak and defenseless individuals.

Might sound like an easy target for ANTIFA, BLM, or another movement looking for attention to their oppressed existence in this racist Country. It might also sound like someone or some place you are familiar with too.

Food for thought or a call to arms . . . . . remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the ark.

Personally I think the ones that don't mention it to much or at all are the ones that favor it, otherwise they would be telling them to stop. The ones that do talk about are trying to solve it or maybe they're just adding gas to the fire to keep it going. I guess you got to make your own assumption. To me BLM is just to get something!

Sadly, the same people who misconstrue what kneeling for the anthem was about, also don't have a clue (or refuse to understand)...as to the real purpose of Black Lives Matter.

Having said that, I do think BLM could help their own cause by making more effort in helping law enforcement find and prosecute those criminals...who are corrupting their peaceful intent on changing things.

It's not selective reporting, it's selective reading. What newspapers do you read?

But Fox is biased towards reason. They do not call a riot a peaceful protest. CNN will never report anything good about the current administration. Always search for something bad to say even if not newsworthy. Presidents last rally - Not as many attendees as expected, either criticize the POTUS remark about cutting back on COVID tests or if a joke say it was in bad taste. Claim that POTUS blamed protestors for low attendance. A credible news agency would acknowledge good as well as bad. If an agency reports only bad , they are not a news agency.

I remember at the U of MN Law School in 1986 that the Class of 1989 had about 2 African America law students in a Class of about 260. And the Class of 1990 had maybe 4 African Americans and one of these was actually a Caucasian who lied on his application. And the Class of 1991 had around the same number of about 4 or 5 African Americans. Each of these Classes was around 250-275 students.

The Attorney General of Minnesota, Keith Ellison, was one of the African Americans in the Class of 1990 and he was also the only Muslim that I recall in that Class.

We did have a few African American law professors.

Getting rid of Aunt Jemima is a racist act. Who's the white guy that decided to remove the black lady's picture off my favorite syrup? I am going to protest if they replace her with a white woman. The next thing you know, they will be taking the Indian (indigenous naive American) off the Butter..............oh wait.

Family of woman who portrayed Aunt Jemima opposes move to rebrand
