From Batwoman to Bare - Here I thought it was blonds who had more fun. Thank you for letting me know the truth.

Now that I know the truth I have to decide what I want to do with the information. :dontknow: Questions, Decisions, and here I just bought the latest L'oreal Natural Blond hair color. What oh what will I do. ;)

Natural blond sounds like a great selection HB. Blends in with gray also, (not that you would need that)! Kathie just went blonde. And of course Donna is the natural blonde princess of all time.

I was blonde once for a week in the '60's. I had hair down to my waist. A week later I had my hair straightened. Before my hair all broke off, for that one week, I did have a lot of fun. ;D

Yes, Kathie went blond. OMG, she'll be a holy terror in TV that's for sure. http://www.millan.net/minimations/sm...nutssmiley.gif Gee, I'm talking about myself. Oh well, its the truth!

If I wasn't so shy, I'd post a blond picture. I like it, it is nicer that the white hair I had. It looks like Donna's color in her avatar, too bad I don't have that beautiful face!! http://www.millan.net/minimations/smileys/frizz3.gif

BF, that was a great joke, loved it!

HB, let's use the same color and we'll feel even more like sistah's!

Kathie that is an excellent idea and we will save money.

Hubby presently does my hair so now he can do both of us at the same time. He tells me that it takes less than half a bottle to do my hair - so you can either have the first half or second half.

He is an excellent colorist and only uses professional colorist gloves! Excellent sense of humor, good conversationalist and no matter what you say he will not color his hair. I highly recommend him. He has over a decade of experience and prefers to use L'OREAL.

He has an opening in the third week of June. Just checked his appointment book.

See ya Sistah - will you make the lemonade?

I DON'T GET IT ? I saw the season finale of Desperate Housewives and at the end they projected what their lives would be like in 5 years into the future. Does that mean the show-series is over? Or is it just the end of the season? :dontknow: I guess I missed something, somewhere :dontknow:

Wonderful, we'll get hubby to do both of us (our hair color to be specific) and being the same color will be so much fun. Can't use L'Oreal though, remember the allergy problem I have but we can share the vegetable based color I'm using. Its terrific, leaves your hair shiny and smooth. Do I have to tip him??? Maybe I'll just give him some lemonade!

Love ya Sistah, see ya in June.

HB...your post about Sidney coloring your hair is a keeper.

If I colored my hair...I think I'd hire him.

LOL

Kathie while in France I bought two different types of Orange Blossom Water. One of the recipes I saw for this water said if you add a small amount to lemonade it enhances the flavor. Want to try it?

You can decide which type you would like him to use. His Professional Colorist Gloves are ready to be slipped on.

A tip? ::) You are on your own.

See ya Sistah.

Re: Girl Talk

Coney, the last Desperate Housewives was a season finale, NOT a series finale. So it will return next year. I think they wanted to give us a glimpse into the future to increase our interest in the series, especially the part that Susan won't be with Mike forever.

Tonight is the two-hour season finale of Grays. I love that program!

And then I can turn off the TV for the summer! If it were only that easy to turn off TOTV for the summer! I might really start getting some stuff done around here.

The new movie "Sex in the City" is supposed to be amazing (for girls anyway). I've always loved the TV program, cool idea, for four friends, all so different, to be so close. ;D

I agree 100% With HB!!!
My packing motto has always been, "Take half as much stuff and twice as much money."
Don't forget, there are shops on the other end! :2cool: LOL

I think that we should see this movie together. We can rent the DVD when we are all back together and have a girl's night out at one of our houses. That would be too much fun!

We may have to do it twice as we all return at different times.

Re: Girl Talk

Sex in the City........seeing that TV is in the country, I vote for a golf cart drive-in night for SISTAHS only, at POLO fields. There are about 35,000 sistahs here, if not MORE! 040 I know, I get a little carried away sometimes............We could call it Tailgating Sex in the Country Sistahs for A Cure!! :o OK I better get some sleep!! I'm getting dilirious.

Barefoot 05-31-2008 02:39 PM

Re: Girl Talk

I went to see Sex in the City last night. The reviews haven't been great but I don't care, I intend to see it regardless! ;D The movie was totally sold out for the whole weekend. So I saw Made of Honour instead. Not a great movie, but Patrick Dempsey is a hottie!

I have a movie problem, and I bet I'm not the only one.

I love romantic comedies, anything with a happy ending, anything that leaves me feeling peaceful. Fireboy, on the other hand, loves disaster and action movies full of things blowing up, people being shot, planes crashing, buildings going up in flames, you get the gist. My dilemma is .. I'd love to have "date nights" and go to movies together, hold hands and eat popcorn. But this results in one of us always being unhappy about the movie choice. So we resolved it by going to the theatre holding hands, going to different movies, and talking about them afterwards over coffee. Not very romantic to be sure, but at least we both get to see the movies we like. :dontknow: BTW, Fireboy really enjoyed Indiana Jones last night!

Rokinronda 05-31-2008 03:22 PM

Re: Girl Talk

Bare, I am in the same predicament! I saw Ironman with hubby last week. (his choice, of course!) It actually was OK. I need to go alone or with a SISTAH to see Sex and the City. Anyone want to join me?

nONIE 05-31-2008 03:37 PM

Re: Girl Talk

Truth be known Bare, Ill bet this is a very common problem. I think going for coffee after and discussing your movies was a fantastic idea. Chicks and guys do not think the same, we all know that, so naturally the same type of movies will not appeal to both. You seemed to resolve the problem very well by getting together after for together time.

In our case we usually go together and one of us just suffers thru it, consequently making one of us pretty miserable for a couple of hours. Lately, I just fall asleep if Im bored with the movie, yikes !!! another sign of old age me thinks. ::)

beady 05-31-2008 04:28 PM

Re: Girl Talk

Barefoot: great solution, Captain and I do the same, but on occasion (rarely) we choose to see the same movie. We will have to "double date" when you get back to TV, gals at one flick, guys at another. Coffee and dessert together after the movie. Perfect.

Nonie: I envy you that you can nap in a theatre. Usually the volume is so high I couldn't possibly sleep. It would be such a good solution to my "dates" choice.

We should get a bunch together and go. Chels and I want to see it to. Much more fun with sistah's

Re: Girl Talk

Mr. Bright and I have the same problem.

We have come to a compromise where I choose a movie and next time he chooses. It works well for us.

Surprisingly, most of the time we both agree that although we would never have picked the same movie as a couple, most aren't too bad and we end up enjoying them (some more than others).

...or maybe it's just the time we enjoy being together.

Sometimes we both agree that our choices weren't the best...but at least we honor each other's choice, laugh, and wait until the next movie night out.

Just Susan 05-31-2008 06:31 PM

Re: Girl Talk

You must wait for me to see Sex in the City in TV or promise to see it again. I think we should have a movie event once a month. Choose two movies and whomever wants can go to whichever movie.

Lucky for me, Tom will watch "chick flicks" sometimes he even gets it. "Die Hard" type movies are as traumatic as I can stand and I will not go to worse than that level of violence.

Hyacinth Bucket 05-31-2008 06:33 PM

Re: Girl Talk

Beady count me in. Is it or do you think it will be showing in TV?

HB

Hyacinth Bucket 05-31-2008 06:45 PM

Re: Girl Talk

This is one problem we do not have. For many years we did not go to the movies, now that we can, we never think of going.

We do keep a list of movies we want to see on DVD, but never seem to see them. Then the list gets tossed and another list is made.

While we were in TV there were two movies we decided we would definitely see, then got busy doing other things and forgot all about it.

When we have gone to the movies it is always with friends. If you are going please ask us so that we get to the movies again.

Thanks,

HB

Not sure why I find this so funny, I laughed for five minutes!!
Perhaps because when I go to bed I look like my mother, and when I wake up I look like my grandmother. 1rnfl

Susan, Donna and Sam: You're right, men don't notice anyway and we all have that inner glow that wisdom brings. Let me repeat to myself: wrinkles are beautiful, wrinkles are beautiful.
