Chelsea, dear friend to be, ready or not.... HERE WE COME! :hot: :hot: :hot:

We just finalized everything and we're flying in on August 2nd (my birthday!) and staying through the 8th. We have appointments with our Villages sales rep Sunday and Monday mornings, but the rest of the time will be Lifestyle Tour Time! Yay!

I can't wait to meet you and everybody else! Too bad we couldn't coordinate the trip around the luncheon at Crisper's, but this will have to do for now.
I am sooooo excited! 040 040 040

I spent the day with a delightful young lady, had a horribly unhealthy but delicious fast food, high caloric lunch, went to a movie that I would never have chosen but enjoyed regardlessly, shopped SS, walked the boardwalk at LSL, browsed Barnes and Noble, and sampled Strawberry Cheesecake Haagen Daz ice cream only because I wanted to see what my young lady found so wonderful about this flavor. (She had a double scoop...fudge brownie and Strawberry Cheesecake.)

Then to top it off, I had a water fight! It was so humid. Water fountains and decorative fountains in LSL provided a fancy free and footloose end to the day. I was a horrible mess after my young friend doused me good with handful after handful of water. Boy, did it feel good! Silliness made my day...getting her wet and her getting me soaked.

I bow to youth!

Now that I'm home...a glass of wine is in order...lol.

Hi Nonie sent this to me and I wanted to share it with all my Sistahs.

To all my "sisters"

One of Sid's dreams is to travel to Thailand.

To make it a reality I just completed a course on Thailand. Since Thailand was not high on my list to go to I am glad I took this course.

My bags are now ready to go, my little battery operated fan that I wear around my neck is packed and Rok said she wears something cold on the back of her neck that is great.

Now all I have to do is find something light to wear. ;D

Wow! That's great HB! Vetman will be very jealous! He's always wanted to go there.

I had a wonderful afternoon of Mahjongg and good friends filled my home. I am truly blessed. ;D

Two very emaciated yellow labs came into the shelter today. The tips of their ears had been burned. It broke my heart to see how loving and trusting they were. They just wanted to be loved and petted. Obviously they had been victims of horrible cruelty and neglect. Looking into their sweet trusting eyes tore me up and I couldnt hug them enough. I am so glad that their suffering days are over.

nothing makes my heart sing more then hugging an abused animal. :'(

Nonie , Thank god for people like you. I assume you work or volunteer for a shelter. I volunteer for a raptor rehab foundation, but they cant express love and affection like dogs and cats can. I'm not strong enough to work at a dog and cat shelter,it would kill me to see what abuse humans can do to animals that only want your affection and trust. I'm a little partial to dogs but dogs and cats express unconditional love like no other animal can. Benj

I spent a wonderful day with wonderful friends. I read of a friend giving love to my animal friends. Whenever I hear of Nonies rescues, tears come to my eyes. Yellow labs, so smart, so loving and so undeserving of the unkindnesses. Any animal mistreated really breaks my heart. God bless all my animal loving friends!!!!! God has special love for animal lovers. Now if I could figure how Lila got fur trapped in her lower front teeth and how I can help her, I will feel better. She keeps biting me when I try to help. My 12 yr. old lasso apso has fur mouth!

I spent the day making mozzarella cheese with my daughter and 2 of her friends. We made 4 batches and ate one for lunch, served with fresh tomatoes and basil from the garden, drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar...pure heaven.

First time ever making cheese..fairly easy process with delicious results. I plan to make lots more.

The Villages Florida Beady

Harvesting herbs, fencing and painting chicken coops, making pesto and cheese...sounds like you are having fun on the farm.

How do you make cheese? I'd also like to try to do that.

Rhonda: We used heirloom tomatoes, I think they were called Purple Cherokee. Big beefsteak type with a blood red skin and lighter red meat. Delicious.

Making mozzarella cheese takes about 1 hour from milk to serve...amazing process. There is a trick to success and that is raw or lightly pasteurized milk. Most milk from the grocery is ultra pasteurized and that extra process breaks down the enzymes and you cannot make cheese with it. We found a local source for whole milk and 2% milk that worked.

My daughter found the web-site and ordered the supplies we used. The website has all the info you will need.
www.cheesemaking.com

Have fun. I have a kit on order..... plan to make more cheese if I can find the right milk when I get back to TV.

Miss you all...but having a grand time with the grandkids.
