Yes it is, but we are still all green. Will be a few weeks or so before we get good color. Stil in the high 60's low to mid 70's here.

Smile We're Slipping!

Wow, we've let this slip and I want to get back to each of us wonderful gals doing something good for ourselves each day.

So today, I worked less, relaxed and watched old movies. A very delightful day. I was good to me.

Celebrated a dear friend's 60th birthday today in a great Italian restaurant in Brooklyn with good friends and family. We're planning a Friendship Cruise for sometime in 2010 as we'll be celebrating 50 years of friendship by then. Been a long road, sometimes bumby but all in all not a bad ride, not bad at all.

We winterized our outdoor areas today in preparation for our trip down to see all of you. Turned off and disconnected hoses, brought tables and outdoor furniture in, rolled up the rugs on the screen porch and put the porch swing in the garage in preparation for its trip south and its new place on the lanai in Hadley. Tomorrow the guy will come to turn off the irrigation system before cold weather. We are renting a trailer again, we have more stuff to bring. We have harnesses on Mikey and Hershey so when they complain in the car, we can let them out of their cage at least. Won't be long now.

I know that techically, it is not a "self indulgent" sort of thing, but for me, it is the beginning of the countdown to some happy times with you.

After spending the first 14 days of our new life in TV trying out every activity I could find (like a kid in a candy shop), I listened to my body and stayed home and read!

So now I'm rested and ready to get going again and will start off with some tennis tomorrow morning! What a life!

Gracie, get that trailer packed.....I can't wait to meet you in person!

Good for you Chels,

Your right, we have let this thread slip and its just too good to let it slide.

Today I went to the outlet mall near the lakehouse with a friend and bought myself 3 new pair of underpants. Amazing how new underpants can really give you a LIFT?

I have been trying to upload pictures here using Photobucket for a long time. Each time I tried, I was told that, "the upload has failed"! With so much going on, I have not had the patience or time to give it too much attention. Today, I read all I could on this site and was successful in adding some pictures Yippee! Now I am going to watch Tina Fey/Sarah Palin.

Default The greatest joy is in giving.

:Brought a huge beautiful vase of roses over to a dear friend/neighbor who is always doing things for us, without asking!

Which brings me to the question: What do you do for someone who has everything, wants nothing, and is continually showing kindnesses. Somehow flowers does not seem like enough!

Nonie, everyone has to eat! So no one can have everything when it comes to food. Find out what your neighbor loves to eat but rarely treats themselves with. Or, anything homemade always shows how much you care!

Today I treated myself to a couple of hours of searching for tile for our backsplash in our kitchen. We are redoing our counter tops with granite, and plan to tile the backsplash at the same time. I think I was able to narrow it down to two choices, so it was a productive two hours. Now I just have to convince my hubby that these are the only two options open to him.

Speaking of treats, I bought fudge today. This is so not good for me. But why does it feel so good?
