Oh I forgot,

I almost hit someone once. A friend and I were a twosome playing behind two guys who were walking. At the 150 on the second hole they waived us through, and moved well off the wide-open fairway to a woodsy area on the left. I teed off, my ball slammed into the 150 marker and took off 90 degrees left toward where they were standing.

Flukes happen!

A fellow that I play golf with tells the story that as a young man, he was playing with a man and his wife. The man hit a bad tee shot and killed his wife. DRT (Dead Right There)

I must also warn that trying to drive a cart from the passengers side on the course is a very bad idea. Even for a moment. Once, my wife was driving. When she stopped, she turned the wheels full left. I didn't know it. When I reached over and pushed the accelerator from the passenger side, the cart lurched full left directly at where she was standing. No access to the brake, I was able to pull the wheel to the right before I hit her.
