When I get up earlier to golf, I'm often not hungry for breakfast. What do you like to eat for morning snack while golfing? I seem to find a lot of Kellogg snacks, but they are too sweet for me. I need a little "pick me up" to get me through the game and to lunch.

Nutrigrain bar, banana or a PBJ on a single piece of bread folded in half. Usually eat on the 9th or 10th tee. I always eat breakfast and I mostly walk...

When I golf I always take along peanut butter crackers and many times a bag of nuts or grapes. My husband takes along boiled eggs.

Nuts and water, nuts and dried fruit and water,,, then more water.

Apple with cinnamon is my go-to golf snack. (Slice an apple, put in baggie, sprinkle in cinnamon and shake.) I usually take a few almonds along too for protein.
Like Mainlander, I drink a lot of water when I golf, a lot.

I take a cooler with a baggie of frozen grapes or some fresh pineapple. And usually an ice cold Bud Light for the back nine.

I have protein bars I use when I can't have breakfast before I play. They usually carry me until early afternoon.

We were just talking about what our Grandfather ate as a snack in the late 1800's (he was born in 1870) and our mother would cut up cucumbers, put them in ice and water and lotsof salt and let them soak for a few hours. Drain the water and put them in a bowl. Can also add sour cream or another way is to cut up onions, add them to the cucumbers and add vinegar. Can leave a bowl out all day and pick at them for a snack or put them in container and take them to golf and snack on them during the game, etc.
Crazy but they are good. That was his snack up to and over being 100. ![]() |

I would think banana (for potassium) and some form of protein--pb on bread, or nuts? Interesting question. A lot of us are just not breakfast eaters in the early morning, but then we get doing something and get hungry. I keep an energy bar in my purse for such times, but it sounds like those would be too sweet for you, Happinow.

Banana and a few fig newtons has done the trick for me.
