Default Forgot to cancel papers nightmare

When my next door neighbor forgot to cancel the newspaper before they went on an extended vacation they came home to a nightmare. Hmmm. Maybe I should have called The Daily Sun and gave them a heads up nobody was home. But perhaps the guy delivering the paper could have suspected something.

Yikes, is this for real? First, I am surprised neighbors didn't put them in the entry/overhang out of sight and second, that the Sun delivery person didn't flag the office after a few days and suggest suspension or for them to contact the owner. If this was a practical joke by other neighbors, well, never mind.

When snowbird neighbors get phone books, POA, etc in their driveways during the summer I either remove the item or put it near the front door for their "watch" person to deal with.

Someone needs to call this guy and let him know that we have some "news" for him when he returns.

I am suspecting the OP is pulling our collective leg on this photo.

First, I have met the OP and he says it is his next door neighbor. The OP is not the kind of guy who would allow papers to pile up like that for a neighbor.

Secondly, even if the Daily Sun deliverer did not flag their front office, the Community Watch would have done so. Remember, folks, this is The Villages and people DO look out for neighbors.

It is a great picture and practical joke.

Also, if you look at the position of the newspapers, there are no papers under the car....just around it. If I fact the papers were thrown in the driveway at random when the delivery person delivered them, they would be scattered everywhere, not just around the car. If you notice there are no papers under the car. Good joke though.

Is this the neighbor who complained about your outdoor decoration? Looks like suburban justice to me. rofl

Okay okay. It was a joke our neighborhood played on our neighbor. WE all saved editions of the newspaper and dumped them on their drive a few hours before their return. We do this type of thing each time one of us go away. One time we posted a "SOLD" sign on the lawn, another time pink flamingos. Being I am going away on a cruise next week, I'm almost afraid to leave...not knowing what I am going to return to.

Tom!! That was too funny Now these are the kind of people you want to have close to you, playing practical jokes on eachother and having fun!!

Too many posts here from complainers, whiners, cry babies and spoiled brats.

Have a great time on your cruise and by the way, what is your address again??? I have a bunch of newspapers that I want to recycle

Just Kidding

After I took that picture, another neighbor put up a "For rent by neighbors" sign. And yes, George ...this is a fun group of people and we have more gatherings than most neighborhoods. Sometimes well drive to PeachWave via golf cart caravan. Nothing like having 12-15 golf carts pulling into a parking lot together
