Yep.

However, I thought it was against the rules to have more than one account?

I thought I recognized the "Hi Sweetie... going out just now.." so this "fake poster" is mine to claim. My husband and I had a good laugh too!

My son has never posted before on this site.... guess he was trying another way to get in touch with us!!!

On a more serious note, he and his family fully intend to retire at The Villages when they are eligible..... every time they visit us here they totally blown away by what we all have here.

OK then, my apologies for agreeing with the poster who said..."fake new poster."

It sounds like he's fun to talk to. I hope you don't block him.

Ever since my parents moved to The Villages, I am unable to get a hold of them. They are never home when I call, and their voice mail is constantly full. On the rare occasion that I do manage to get through, they have to get off the phone quickly either because they are having a party, or are on their way out to one. When they're not partying, they're either out on the town somewhere or cavorting with strangers at one of the ridiculous number of 400+ social clubs that exist there. It never ends. It's either a free concert, a book signing, wine tasting, golfing, car show, or some other sort of excursion.

They only ever have time to talk to our kids, and when we get on the phone it's always, "Hi sweetie, it's been a long day and we have dinner plans, we'll talk to you later."

I don't think this kind of lifestyle of partying and socializing is healthy for my parents. Retirement is supposed to be calm and without fan-fare. Why can't The Villages be more like those other retirement communities that we see on highway billboards, such as Downhill Acres, or Finite Estates?

Signed,
Concerned Child

At Downhill Acres they come and go and at Finite Estates they never leave.

I'm BUSTED!!!

Sorry mom, I kept thinking about those fancy leather seats at Brownwood Theaters, the constant year-round 70% off at the Van Heusen store, the skipper with all the great stories on the $2 boat ride at Sumter Landing, the 52+ golf courses, or the great burgers at Cody's. At least we have the Alamo here in San Antonio. My daughter says she "already remembers" and doesn't need to keep seeing it, but then says... "when are we going to The Villages?"

I apologize for the troll, Villagers. My parents are great and do answer the phone... when they're home!

Don't apologize that was such a refreshing change from the posts that just go round and round in a loop of bickering.

I loved it. No need to apologize. I thought it was funny but so true.
