Default It's all over!

As most of you are aware the Mayan calendar ends on 12/21/12, the end of the world. I've been thinking about this and I don't want to be unprepared. So I have a number of questions that I would like to pose to the TOTV brain trust that might help me get ready.

1. Does anyone know at what time on Dec. 21st the end will come? Do I have time for coffee at Starbuck's? Apparently the Mayan's expertise in calendars didn't extend to clocks.

2. What investments should I be making now to maximize my return before then?

3. Since the end doesn't occur on the 1st of the month will my social security check be prorated?

4. And speaking of the Feds, will any expenses incurred by the end of the world be deductable on my tax return?

5. How do I set my irrigation system to turn off on Dec. 22nd? I don't want to waste water.

If anyone can help with these pressing questions please do. But don't wait too long. Time is limited.

Jim

What time? 11:11 GMT which equates to 7:11 a.m. eastern daylight time, I believe. Gives you a little time if Starbucks opens at 7................

Actually, after they factored in all the Leap Years, it was determined that it was over about 6 months ago, so you can relax!!

Saw a cartoon awhile back of a Mayan astrologer showing another astrologer his calendar. It was designed on a big wheel and the fellow was saying that he ran out of space after 2012! Thought that was as good an explanation as any.

You won't hae to worry about filing another tax return, which would be due next year.

We'll be back on standard time by then, so 11:11 GMT would be 6:11 EST

This is getting serious. Now I find out I have to reprogram my coffee pot. Can it get any worse?

We get that hour back in Noember.

We'll need all the time we can get before the end.

I'll have to plan on having all my retirement money spent by then.

If you're having a tough time getting that accomplished by then, feel free to just cut me a check - glad to help you out!

That's OK Bill, my wife and I won't have ANY problems taking care of that all by ourselves.
