"The Villages, a training camp for rudeness rehabilitation?" Hummm... I got a feeling that TV won't be using that for a promo slogan anytime soon! The Villages Florida

I would say that New Yorkers get a bad rap. Some may be obnoxious but it has been my experience that a lot are good people with big hearts when you get to know them.

I developed really close friendships with people who became more of a family member than my family members.

If I am wrong, I will move to TV to get some "niceness training".

IMHO, having lived on both coasts, and having traveled all around the U.S., I have found that the more west you travel or live from the east coast, the nicer the people get! When we moved from the Phila. area to WA state, I was shocked at how nice the people were. I remember saying to my husband, "Are these people on drugs? They're so nice and helpful." Pittsburgh is another "nice" city, where everyone is very friendly. All I can about LA is maybe there are a lot of transplants there from other places.

"Bostonians don't give hugs........"

I grew up in the heart of Boston and hugs were a typical part of greeting family and friends.

These polls can create humorous banter, but I don't take them seriously.

I can't believe someone hasn't posted something about Cincinnati. I, for one, won't ever post anything about people from Cincinnati being rude and such. But I thought someone else would have stepped up to the plate by now.............
