LOL - you aren't trying to guilt me into staying up NOTHING but 3 more hours now, are you? Ain't gonna happen.....I already dozed off once right before midnight. You're on your own now, unless Nucky has a restless night or fw comes in half lit. I think I'd like NOTHING more than to see that -

Son of a NOTHING gun. I almost made it. Pooped out at about 11.45 and the rest is history. I welcome 2019 and am hopeful for all good things for everyone, especially NOTHING'S.

I knew I wouldn't make it either but since I nothing but DVR'd New Years, I can celebrate it anytime I want to. Yet somehow it just doesn't seem the same so I will probably wind up deleting. LOL - how those people in Times Square stayed so many hours in the cold rain without being able to go to the bathroom I'll never know.

But we all made it so HAPPY NEW YEAR'S to all of you.

Happy New Year everyone! It was a great party and no better way to wring in the new year but with our friends. Hope 2019 is NOTHING but a great year for all. Let the diet begin.

You and I spent our lives within the shadow of Times Square and for this NOTHING I had no feeling whatsoever to attend the festivities. One year shortly after 2001 our kids went and had a blast and we sat home worried until they arrived home.

People from all over the world spend big money to come to the city and for the life of me, I don't get it. For us MEH! Yuck!

If you're going into the city for a meal and a show that just great but for me and mine, we prefer the BLUEFINSTER!

I never had any desire to stand outside in the cold. I was only an hour away from Boston but never went to First Night there either for that reason. My mode up north was NOTHING but hibernation.

That's my New Year's gift to you. I love giving gifts that cost NOTHING. I thought you would appreciate it and I saw no one else was up except me and K who could care less about numbers unless there are $$ in front of them - lol.

And now you get to spend New Year's Day with your NOTHING friends........lucky you!

My husband and I went to bed and woke up this morning saying for us it is a year of anticipation, excitement, decisions, and many unknowns to be worked out, but we are hopeful for the best year yet. Today is January 1, 2019 - Happy New Year and Happy First Anniversary of the NOTHING thread!

Oh, btw, it's Tuesday! This week is going to be another confusing one - feels like Sunday again - lol

I read from 10:20 PM on until I got too tired. Trying to finish a book before I send a package of books to my older brother for his BD in a few weeks. He and I both like Simon Scarrow's series on Macro and Cato. Two Roman soldiers in the period around 42 AD to 55 AD, so far. Some good reads but do not seem that popular here in the US. More widely read in Great Britain as many of this books are about the early history of England and their encounters with Romans. Exciting and not for NOTHING.

The dog also wants a lot of attention when he is in bed. I should be glad I do not have a woman in there too as I would never get the book finished. I am working on that part of my life though just hard to pick the right lady as the wrong one can really mess you up in many ways more than one. I do have a history of choosing badly where women are concerned. I only do serious relationships so it makes that much more harder. And a whole lot more is going on with my hobbies than ever before. I would need someone to help with those and more importantly grasp their importance and know how to help. Had thought I found someone in a nurse who had been married to a lawyer but I cannot for the life of me figure this woman out. She is a "riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma; but perhaps there is a key".

Getting to TV would definitely put this year in at least your top ten, probably right after joining NOTHING

For us on New Years day we start taking down our decorations. As much as I enjoy putting them up I enjoy taking them down and getting my house back in order just as much. I'm ready to gear up for Valentine's Day

Good luck with that venture, Tal. It is not an easy one, finding the perfect mate, and especially in this day and age from what I hear from a lot of young men who are putting off marriage until their 30's and beyond. Maybe 2019 will be NOTHING but your year to find that right person.

I hope so. That nurse moved so she is kind of out of the picture but she did not move far. I do wish her well as she was a huge help for me in 2016. I loved walking and talking with her about a lot of stuff and she seemed to get it but then along came 2018 and that was quite a shock. I need not go into it here. She did throw me for a loop though which was quite unexpected and strange. And not for NOTHING. I do hope her a wonderful 2019. I did ask her to look at NOTHING and a lot of other stuff.

Luckily I have great neighbors and some good friends and among these are a number of good women most of these are married or widowed. There is a widow I admire and respect who seems great with people but she is a little older but we seem to share the same values in a lot of areas. Enjoy seeing her.

And there is a fun blonde around but I do not really know much about her but she probably reads NOTHING. Or knows NOTHING.

And I have a couple of gay/lesbian friends whose shoulders I can cry on when need be. Run into them a lot.

A good mate is NOTHING but someone you feel comfortable with. My husband is younger than I am. Age is just numbers.
