NOTHING wrong with silly stuff. If I have time I’ll answer. As long as it doesn’t require me to type a long reply on my phone. lol

I read the fire likely won't be contained until mid September. Is this NOTHING but how you spend your summers every year?

Pretty much. Some years are busier than others. We knew this was going to be a busy year. If I want I could probably work fires until October but Mrs. K would probably have NOTHING to do with that.

I don't blame her. I am sure it is NOTHING but hard on her also worrying. Fires are so unpredictable.

Nucky 08-11-2018 08:22 PM

Sorry for the troubles of the LowBoy delivery truck but at this point with people being NOTHING but dog tired mistakes happen. There is talk of lowering the CDL age to 18 years old from 21 years where it is now. Who really knows but driver error is probably involved. I wouldn’t want any of the eighteen year olds I know driving my equipment. Period.

I pray for heavy long lasting rain and safety to the gang on the job and our hearts bleed for those who lost everything. What a shame.

Stay Safe #1 and break loose and buy a Smartphone or I’ll donate one for you. I understand, it was hard for me to switch over cause I’m stubborn but I’m glad I did.

Sorry guys, and especially to you K, the one night you get to hang out with us and I NOTHING but disappear.

You still around? Are you back at the base or still waiting for orders?

Abby10 08-11-2018 09:46 PM

Uh oh, am I being NOTHING but shunned?

Good night, everyone. See you all tomorrow?

Just caught your email coming through as I was about to shut down my tablet. Wasn't sure if you were still just hanging around or not. It's been quite awhile now, thought they would have called it a night by now.

I almost hate to say this considering your circumstances, but my hubby and I haven't been home together at night for probably a week now and felt I definitely owed him some undivided attention after being away for 3 weeks prior to that. I'm sure you're getting anxious to get home to see Mrs K as well. How is she holding up?

Sorry, but there's not much NOTHING in all of this......

Gee, not for NOTHING, but I haven't thought about skiball (or is it skeeball?) in years. You could always find that on the boardwalk in NJ.

She’s doing okay. She likes NOTHING about it but understands that it’s what I do.

Here I am, wide awake at 3am again - UGH!! What time did you end up getting in last night?

Anyway, just wanted to say, the key word above is "understands". You gotta be grateful for that. She might not like it but she's got to be mighty proud of her man. I know the NOTHING family is. You've said it more than once it's a job, you get paid, yadda yadda, but the bottom line is you make the choice to put yourself out there. Many, in fact most, would not. We are all so grateful for people like you and it's an honor to know you and to have the opportunity to walk with you through this.

Darn, I can get NOTHING but sentimental in the middle of the night. Sleep tight, Kommander. for both you AND Mrs K . When you get home be sure to thank her for us for understanding that we need good men like you out there.

The list of NOTHING but goodness about you grows. :icon_wink:

Oops, i forgot one more very important thing -

Apparently a good dad.

Abby10 08-12-2018 02:24 AM

Hi Nuckster,

It seems as if you and I are on NOTHING but the same sleep cycle these days. :ohdear:

Abby10 08-12-2018 02:36 AM

Hoping I'll get back to sleep soon so I better say it now -

Today is Sunday, August 12th - a day of rest for most of us. However, NOTHING but another day of hard wotk for our fearless leader as Nucky calls him.

At least Nucky can count down the days until his project is done. Do you think he might stop by the island soon and see if there is NOTHING going on with Maryann?

NOTHING but hard to get moving this morning. See you guys tonight.

I’ve never been sickererer in my whole dopey life. Just getting up now and the NOTHING room is spinning. Two years in THE VILLAGES with no head, chest, flu B.S. Remember no good deed goes NOTHING but unpunished. I am the biggest Baby Huey in the world when I’m sick.

It’s these beautiful little chlidrens who are f ink killing my NOTHING fat ass.

It took me longer to correct my typing than it did to type this whole mess. Peace Out, Smokey The Bear, still have time to wish you well, the NOTHING CHEERLEADERS will keep a eye out for you till I’m back.

Oh my, Nucky, I'm so sorry to hear this. I know there is a terrible bug going around. Seeing some pretty sick patients up here too. In fact, one of my co-workers was coming down with it last week and I was trying to stay away from her like she had the plague. I wanted NOTHING to do with it.

So true what you say about being around kids. Without a doubt, they are the worst at transmitting these things. The times my husband and I were the sickest in our lives was when we picked it up from our son when he was little. Amazing how much harder it is on the adults. The kids just keep going, spreading their little germs all over the place. UGH! My heart and prayers go out to you - rest, rest, rest and drink, drink, drink......not alcohol (not that you would go there). A Den Mother's work is never done - first I have to worry about K, now you. Please get well soon. Hugs coming your way. Glad they are virtual because I really wouldn't want to be hugging you right now - no offense. :icon_wink:

Even in my 102.7 degree condition I NOTHING but agree. The little one said something like that’s an good way for the temperature to be taken. Ha, I thought the thermometer tasted bad! I’m NOTHING but Hallucinating. Maybe it was those special mushrooms our neighbors fed us!

Just opened the second gallon of water and drank a big Gatorade also. I only drank the Gatorade because I love Florida. Have to go sanitize The Batpole. Robin was sick last week too. Maybe I should take The Bat Elevator like poor old Alfred.

I forgot about Mary Ann. We’re on it.:1rotfl:

Speaking of him, I have the feeling he's in for NOTHING but a 16 hour day today after the delays and setbacks over the past couple of days. I don't envy him at all. Just thinking about it exhausts me.

Hope you get to feeling NOTHING but better, Nucky. Being sick sucks.

They took mercy on us today. I was actually able to initiate a “Tactical Pause” (nap) today. A 30 minute power nap can make the whole day a lot better especially when your boots are dragging.

The countdown to Saturday begins.

Okay, I don't count well......unless it's pills - lol. Actually, I forgot you have to add the travel days in. So how far is home from your location?

And it's a good thing you added that last line or I'd have to give you something worse than a NOTHING violation.

I’m four hours from home. But the demob process takes a few hours so it turns into NOTHING but an all day adventure.
