NOTHING but quite a surprise. We did get one of those when we learned of my late younger brother having a baby with a woman in Nevada in 1982 we never knew about. Kind of instant whole branch of a tree and a lot of letters exchanged. And new great grandkids for my parents. And lots of new birthdays to get cards for in one month. My younger brother's love child has the same birthday as a special friend I made a few years ago near the Villages. They are not the same age though but about 20 years apart.
It's never too late, Tal. Finding the right one is NOTHING but important. My son was engaged once and almost got engaged a second time but backed out. Now, 10 years after the first broken engagement he tells me he's really glad he waited because he's learned so much more about himself in those 10 years and is more confident of what he wants in a life partner. I think some of the guys on NOTHING have talked in the past about the consequences of marrying the wrong person. I was blessed the first time around but not everyone is. I waited though. I didn't get married until I was 27. That's not too old now, but back then it was considered somewhat older than most. Most of my friends were already married and starting families but I didn't let that pressure me. Honestly, I really wasn't all that focused on getting married but more on my career path. I guess when you don't try so hard to find the right person it just happens.

Do you have a favorite?
I totally agree. And Carmen ain’t for NOTHING either.

The first opera I bought was on LP. Since two LPs are cheaper than three or four!), I chose Tosca. It was a favorite for years. At one time, I had over twenty different recordings, including a strange one in German.

I don’t think I could pick a favorite now—I’ve heard many. But I do have a suggestion: Mefistofele, by Arrigo Boito. It’s the Faust story again. The choruses alone will leave you with goosebumps!

Are you going to the performance on the fifteenth? I usually sit in the back rows, on the aisle. I think I’d recognize you. You will recognize me by imagining my photo with sixty years added. Lol.

Well, gee, thanks, Mr. Nucky. But I’m so stuffed I’m eating almost NOTHING. Drink is a different thing altogether.

Not sure if I could sit through an opera at the Rialto as some of these seem quite long. 2 hours and 43 minutes. Verdi: Aida - San Francisco Opera (starring Luciano Pavarotti) - YouTube
Tal, Robert and I saw Aida at the Rialto a few weeks ago. It was NOTHING but Aida-ness. It is, however, a three-LP ordeal.

Re libraries, Sumter at Pinellas has very little in the 782.1 section. They do, however, have a healthy 641.

Oh let him do a couple a day. We can set a limit - just morning and evening? Or morning, afternoon, and evening? I know when I'm not at home and checking in on my cell phone I can't see the stats and would sometimes like to know. And don't go calling me a NOTHING enabler - lol

I'm all about compromise.. How about one first thing in the morning then one at the end of the day?

And you are NOTHING but an enabler..

I like that - thanks, boss. Tal has made himself a valuable member of NOTHING and it's important to be kind to fellow NOTHINGS.

And I know I can sometimes be an enabler.

I r always playing with NOTHING but words. Elton John and Freddie Mercury are a few of my favorite entertainers and whatever they do is their business, not mine.

The one word to never play with is NOTHING although I believe it was so decried some time back that NUTHIN could be used as a replacement.

Everything on here is mainly in fun, so far!
