Will wonders never cease? I've been trying to get DH to get a pedicure for many, many years. He feels like he'll be the only man and people will stare. Today, we were at Walmart. Lo and behold, at the nail salon there were two men getting their feet done, and another waiting. I grabbed DH and said, Look -- they must be running a special for men, c'mon let's do it. Before he could protest I had him in the chair and soaking his feet. He talked to the man next to him and thoroughly enjoyed it. The pedicurist was a man and after he paid, DH said "I'll see you in two months."

It was nothing less than great.

I do not do mani or pedi. I have not used nail polish since the day my neighbor put a straw into it to stir it up and the straw NOTHING but melted and when I can't reach my toes anymore I may have to go to get them trimmed.

Mrs. K has been NOTHING but trying to get me to go with her to get a pedicure for years.. I'm not ready to give up my Man Card quite yet. Besides, toe nails are a good defense for when she starts to trespass onto my side of the bed..

I'm sure we'll NOTHING but find out. I can only imagine that the various unions will be all over it.

That being said.. I asked her how much, she said $3 per day.. A little quick math and I tell her that's $21 a pay period or roughly $42 a month. She's still Pi$$ed.. lol

That IS NOTHING less than great! My husband had one done when his sister talked him into it while they were in Mexico. I think he thought if he had it done in another country, he wouldn't lose his Man Card, as K calls it - lol. Truth be told, he loved it! Now if I can only get him to do it here we'd be in business. But glad you mentioned this BK because there's a place in TV that I've been wanting to take him. I'll have to put it on my list for our next visit down. I might have to gag and blindfold him to get him there though.......

It's the priniciple of the matter. But is this in a major city? I mean don't you guys live in NOTHING but the boondocks. I think they do this in the cities and some suburban areas where parking is scarce, but never heard of it in more rural areas.

I get how she feels about it. I was upset when I first took my current job and they didn't tell me I had to park in a municipal lot where you pay by the hour. When I brought it to the owner's attention they said just put a note on your dashboard that you work here and they won't bother you since they used to own that lot before the township forced them to sell it to them for public use. I also came to realize that my friend's husband is in the upper levels of the police department in that township so in over 2 years of working there, I haven't gotten a ticket yet.

Yes we live in the boondocks but she goes into the big city to work.

They've been trying to cut costs by banning overtime and other measures. She's been working there NOTHING but 17 years and has never had to pay. Even the patients never had to pay. Now the patients will pay $4 per day.

I know parking in the city is very expensive and in the big picture we won't even feel this. I told her that she would have her parking fee covered within the first three minutes of her shift.. But going after your employees to generate extra income is not something I feel is a good practice.

I agree. But I am totally amazed that patients have never had to pay. Even in the suburban hospitals around here, you generally have to pay as a patient. They may have been better off leaving it at that and not penalizing the employees. But if it makes her feel any better, when we recently went into Philadelphia for a doctor's appt we got a steal of a rate at $8.00 for a couple hours in the hospital parking garage. The rates in the surrounding lots were NOTHING less than $15 on up.

OH, You gotta be kidding! I'd be so upset I'd be passing (Gastriousis - Archie Bunker) sparks. That is NOTHING but the entire reason to fold up the operation and move here NOW! No Charge Parking. Get Outta Jail Card & Everytime you pass The Bluefin you're a dope because its the best meal here. Just kidding.

I guess my recollection of the past conversations about a certain athlete was NOTHING but outta line. I would bet the ranch I know, Ah Fuggetabouit, who the person was behind the curtain with the finger on the Delete Button today. That's why they are the boss and I'm not! Nothing but no harm meant.
