Yeah, that's why I chose the Yankees. I toyed around with different teams but I couldn't think of any other that would stir people up as much. I thought about using the Red Sox but the only people who really, really hate them are Yankee fans. Yankee haters are pretty widespread. Guess that comes with the territory after winning 27 World Series titles.

The present polo field activities will be moving to a new location near brownwood. The addition of horses and stables seems like a logical move with the area being planned on a florida horse country theme.
The present polo field structures will be demolished to make room for a baseball stadium in similar appearance and size to steinbrenner field in tampa, florida. Steinbrenner field was constructed to look like a downsized yankee stadium. It includes training and practice facilities and first class fan ammenities.
In the spring of 2013 the stadium is slated to open, hosting a series of ny yankees spring training games. When the major league teams depart florida in april for their regular season homes, the stadium will be home to an additional team playing in the florida state league, a minor league affiliation playing in the state of florida.
The yankees will be an exciting addition to the many recreational activities in the villages. They are a proven winner and a first class organization, a natural fit to the villages.
