I got a free grass trimming at my house a couple years ago. Apparently the guy /girl that used the weed eater was the only one that got the wrong yard because the grass wasn’t cut. He /she did a nice job and I cut the grass a couple days later without having to trim! Didn’t see him/her the first time or ever again.

Just curious as to the words you were using to express your displeasure. If you called cursing you are lucky you got called “honey”

Yep, what they said. If you were in person with the office woman she probably would have hugged you too. Up until the "virus" southerners gave customary hugs as a form of friendly greeting. Having grown up in New England that shocked me when I ended up in FL 36 yrs ago.

I agree with another post your lawn will only benefit from the treatment on the grass. Consider it a gift. It could have been a nasty neighbor killing your lawn on purpose, like what happened to a friend of mine over dog poop!

Laughing. In the South, Honey, Sugar, Darling, and Bless Your Little Heart can mean what they seem to mean, but they can also mean just the opposite, as in “I thought dog owners were supposed to pick up things like you from the lawn.” It’s been that way for at least a century, though these days, lots of people choose to say what they really think, in ruder language. It’s related to social class, quite often.

I don't know nada about Landsculpture but certainly agree with the sentiment of the post quoted above. There will always be toads no matter where you live, but down here in the south among the genuine southerners (i.e. NOT the transplants from the north or northeast) pleasant familiarity seems to be the order of the day. I recall our first time down here, eating at Cracker Barrel. There was a lot of people waiting to be seated and I asked the hostess if it would be a long wait. She put her arm around me and said "why, it ain't gonna be that long at all, honey".

Another time, eating at a rib joint in Columbia, SC, my wife and I received our order and as we always do, said a blessing over our food. Before we could dig in, the lady behind the counter (who was also the cook--it was a small place) came to our table and said "the Lord already blessed you--let's swap those out", and replaced our rib portions with portions easily half again as large.

I come from Minnesota, the land of "Minnesota nice". But I think the people who truly believe that have never been out of the state. Southerners seem to have it all over we northern folk when it comes to "nice".

Well I’m sure the owner thought he should of used the sidewalk, but on the other hand we didn’t hear the other side of the story. We just heard hear say! We only heard 1/2 the story. If he was treated bad he should of complained to TV head office!
