I'm sure I'll return the favor soon enough. I'm usually a pretty easy target!

We are in the Villages system and are not happy with our PCP for various reasons. So we are looking to change also. Can you change any time?

yes you can change. When I did last year I had to speak with the facility director to do so.

Our Doctor, Dr. Horner, retired last year and we both, my wife and I, had to find new ones. I liked Dr. Horner but I really, really like my new doctor (Vogt in the Belleview office) He and his team are very good at listening. I have had quite a few skin cancers and Dr. Vogt does the excisions himself for me. Anyway, I like him enough that I'm going to give up my Federal BCBS insurance and go with United just to stay his patient. Oh, and I believe he's accepting new patients too.

Dr. David Jordahl at Colony Health Center. But, of course, he's only available if you have the insurance The Villages Health requires you to have.

I also have a history of skin cancers. If you're really going to give up your FEP for this doctor, I'd check to make sure that you have access to a good dermatologist under the new plan. Skin cancers can get very complex or go undetected.

IMHO, you're making a critical decision giving up your FEP. I'd think long and hard about this. What if this doctor leaves?

Good luck.

In re-reading posts some use the word "like" my doc. I try not to confuse "like" with actual performance. Notice I didn't say results.

Dr Rosenblum was one of the treating physician for my Mom and Dad back home. My family, relatives etc spoke highly of all the doctors associated with this practice. compassionate caring dedicated and knowledgeable people . Well respected practice in this community

From personal experience, Dr. Smita Ojha at Creekside and Dr. Lisa Sahai at Mulberry. Top notch all the way around!

Dr. Nguyen at Colony is awesome. I've been a satisfied patient of hers, so much that my husband also switched to her. I never leave the office with questions she didn't answer. She also prints up a summary of the questions/answers and any other information she can regarding questions. She is extremely knowledgeable and her doctor/patient interaction goes above and beyond any doctor I've ever had.
