Thought I had sampled and exhausted all the YouTube golf instructors. Had to Google Manzella. Found him - as he was in the process of confusing the "Be Better" guy. :-)

Brian Manzella is a bit of a "cult leader". He pre-dates Youtube. He was around when we were using Archie to search the Internet ... before the www.

Plenty of golf swing methods. They all "work", once you find the one that works for you. Moe Norman claimed that he was the only one with the perfect swing, but it only worked for him through an insane amount of practice. If you are into looking at alternative swing theories, I can suggest videos by Jim Venetos (a bit of stack & tilt) or Christo Garcia's Over the Top "Miracle Swing". Nothing traditional here, but interesting work.

Here's a prime example of what's wrong with the majority of Internet Golf Instructors.

Golf instruction: Tips for higher and softer bunker shots

This is who she is:.

Averee Dovsek - Women's Golf - Hofstra University Athletics

She averaged almost 86 strokes/round in her college career (ended a year ago). She broke 80 ONCE. She's going to help me with my golf game? I could give her 4 a side and clean her clock.

Such a simple method, and you see so much more of the golf course and surrounding areas!
Heh. Occam's Razor as applied to golf.

My favorite was an American golfer (can't remember just who) some time back when asked what was the secret of golf, replied "just tee it up and hit it. And when you find it, hit it again".

Had forgotten that the extent of the instruction in my college golf class was to "hit it and go get it". Did manage to groove a bad swing against that tarp in the basement of the gym. :-(
