How many saw him [Tiger] ignore the children reaching out to touch him and the time he lifted his arm to avoid a little child. Or how about him wearing that white bandaide on his finger in all of the tournaments. I thought assistant from any object on your hand that would help in your grip or swing was against the rules. How does he get away from it.
I also saw him at the US Open in Wing Foot and he had police surround him and would not let children near him. He does not sign autographs. Compare this to the other significant golfers including Spieth who welcomed the children and touched them as they went from tee to tee. Nicklaus, Floyd, Chi Chi, Palmer, et al always signed for the kids and waited around after a round to do just that. In the case of the "Dislocated" wrist. The one announcer said he had never heard of such a thing. Had heard of shoulders, etc. but never a wrist. He did say in the end "I guess it could happen?" As the saying goes, "how he sows so shall he reap".. ![]() |

Getting thumped by his playing on Sunday-SWEET. At one time he had game but at no time has he had class. Sorry just to many great players out there that show respect for the game and life on and off the course to ever support him.

Thirdly, they are trying to concentrate on what they are doing. This is extremely difficult for those on the top of the game. Tiger has more demands on his time than almost anyone in sports today. He is subject to more distractions than anyone. Some players can talk and joke with the gallery, some need to focus 100%, 100% of the time. It's more about how their brain works than personality. Trevino use his chatter to distract himself from the nervousness of the situation. Nicklaus could never have done that. Hogan was in in "the zone" all of the time on the golf course. So much so that he didn't recognize his wife in one instance. Off the course he was very friendly and sociable with his friends. Phil Mickelson nods and smiles at the people all the time. He is very comfortable with that but he is one of the exceptions. You'll notice that he makes very little physical contact with gallery members for the reason that I stated above. How would you like it if when you were working, thousands of people were yelling and trying to touch you. What must it be like for thousands of people to want to shake your hand while you are trying to do your job? Again, some people can do it and others simply cannot. It has nothing to do with what kind of person they are. It's just about their way of focusing. Most do not have to deal with it on the level that Tiger has. As far as the tape on his fingers, plain tape and band aids are allowed. Read the rule book. He's not getting away with any thing. The term "grasping at straws" come to mind here. I just don't get all the Tiger hate here. Take a look at some of his charitable organizations. Look at what he does for the needy and the sick. I think that that says a lot more about a man than how he has to conduct himself on the golf course.

Give credit to the man for his charitable contributions. But I still can't believe you're using his personal conduct off the course as an argument in his favor.

What else should he be doing? Or do we just hold this against him for the rest of his life. I'm telling you, I've been around the guy. He's great with kids and autographs when he has the time. He gave my son a golf ball that he played with in the Ryder Cup. He just doesn't have the time that many other players have and there is more demands on his time than any other player.

I wish Tiger no ill fortune. But He doesn't have to be one of my favorites either. "Cheating on his wife" is a gross understatement. Few golfers or other athletes have his frequency of foul mouth and angry attitude if all doesn't go his way. He rarely admits that he was simply beaten...it's always if-only-this or if-only-that. I truly hope Tiger does well...in life and in golf. But pardon me if I look elsewhere for athletes that I have a natural inclination to support. |

For being a professional these many years and still can't control himself right up to the past masters, with his filthy mouth and attitude.
And for people to say he loves his kids and his girl friend Vonn, you have no idea how he treats them, When he can't handle himself in front of millions of people watching him, I think he's worse when he's in private life because it's only him and the person he's yelling and screaming at with his filthy mouth. He's a disgrace to the game of golf period. |

Bonny--- I don't praise people who don't deserve to be praised.
I also heard in the past O.J. didn't kill his wife because he loved his children. Tiger comes from the same mold except the murder part. |

I wonder how much hate mail and threats Tiger gets. He's a billionaire. It's not like he needs one more prize fight or year playing football to be set for life. He's in good shape but he's old. Everytime he takes off his hat and I see that bald spot I'm reminded.
He's the underdog now. And it's the American way to root for the underdog. Let's face it, if Crenshaw cought lightning in a jar............................... I'm surprised he is as normal as he is. He's been under a microscope since he was 3 and on the Merv Griffin show. Was there any other athletes under the microscope so long? Who else was under a microscope that you know? JFK jr Ron Howard Judy Garland Mickey Rooney maybe John Lennon's sons How Ron Howard turned out so normal is truly a credit to his upbringing and his own sense of worth. Ron was competing though so it's quite different I suppose. |

It's amazing that you can seriously equate someone who uses bad language with someone who stabbed two people to death. The hate for Tiger is simply astounding. And this post demonstrates it.
