We love Codys. We have been going since opening day. We are there 5 or 6 nights a week. We eat there 2 or 3 times a week. I usually order the ribs or the roasted chicken. Hubby gets the chopped staek, pork chop or bar burger. We've not had any complaints. I love the food. We usually have a large group outside with never a complaint. As far as the flies go, they are all over the place. I don't care where we sit outside, there are flies, including the country clubs.

As far as saying Codys will be out of business next year, that's a ridiculous thing to say. Those type of remarks & rumors are no good for any body & serve no purpose what so ever. There are lots of places in the Villages to go. Not every place is for everyone.
There are lots of places in the Villages I don't care for, but I don't go around trashing them & waiting for them to close the doors. I just go where I like.

Sorry, had to say this !!

You are right about the trashing. Sometime if you look at the trashers posts (all of their posts) you will find they are not happy with a lot of different restaurants. Some people are never satisfied.

80,000 senior citizens all set in their own ways. I imagine it would be difficult to run a business, specially a restaurant, in a community like the Villages.

Nobody is wrong, or making up the facts about their experience. I think we all are less flexible than we may have been 20 years ago. I know I am.

Some things that rolled off my back 2 decades ago are now a major source of irritation.

We are at Cody's once and it was okay - not great. We were a little upset when we could not get two unsweet ice teas to go at the end of the meal (liquor restrictions according to the waiter). I do want to try one more time because I want to try the rotisserie roast chicken. It looked good.

I guess I will bring my OFF for the flies. Or my fly swatter.

And I have to agree with TH. It only takes one bad meal to chase me away from a establishment. I don't have time or money to waste on bad food, bad service or bad atmosphere. Too many other places to choose from.

Food critics are resigning all over the place since opinions and criticisms are now inappropriate. BTW the flies were inside the restaurant not just outside. Everyone knows that bar flies are supposed to stay near the bar and not bother the sober folk inside.

Had dinner at Cody's last night and had no issues with the food quality, quantity or preparation. The service was above average and the staff was attentive and efficient.

If there were flies I didn't see them. The bar was pretty crowded and the bar window was open.

Cody's serves food ? Guess I never noticed

We usually just sit at the bar, drink beer and eat from their bar food menu. I have always had good food, good service and a good time at Cody's. You cannot beat the prices on their bar food menu either.

Get their email address and send them the link to this strip and ask the management or owner to read it.

Diskman,
Great idea. At least give management an opportunity to work with the negative comments to improve in the areas mentioned. It would help them and also help us, the customer. This could be the criteria used for any eating establishment in TV's. Certainly they should be logging into TOTV to see what the 14,000 members thoughts are related to their establishments. Hit the search button and you'll find a fountain of info.
