NewPeep:

Thanks so much for your thoughts. It is comforting to know that there are in fact people like yourself. I believe most people would understand the intent of the question. Like Gracie said maybe some have way to much time on their hands.

Love to meet for drinks and dinner sometime.

Thanks

I hadn't bothered reading this thread because I assumed people would simply say dogs were allowed to eat outside in several restaurants. I got curious when I saw the thread had gone on so long. I was surprised to see the dissension and some of the comments.

I admit I would be very upset to see a non-guide dog indoors at a restaurant (not too thrilled for even guide/therapy dogs inside, but I do understand the need). Outdoors is, to me, an entirely different issue. I'd much rather eat outside with the dogs than inside listening to a drunk or a crying baby. At least I could pet the dog while I'm waiting for my meal (and the dog and I would be so much happier).

But, basically, if you want to eat at a restaurant in TV with your dog -- simply ask. If one says no, the odds are the one next door or down the street a bit will welcome you and bowser with open arms.

[QUOTE=armywrestle;289781]Bow Wow----------------------------I never thought my simple question would turn into a debate. To answer some of your concerns:

5. This debate has me wondering if TV is really "Americas Friendliest Hometown".. I appreciate those that understand

TV is extremely friendly, don't worry about that!

I think you'll find when you take your dog for a walk, every second person you meet will want to admire your dog and give her a pat.

We look forward to meeting you.

I've never taken my dog to a restaurant.

I have no problem at all with people who bring their dogs to designated areas on restaurant patios. It's outside, dear people.

I wasn't planning to eat off the floor anyway.
