Default Fenney Grille

Went out today for a liesurly dinner with friends. Got to Fenny Grille at 3:00PM. Four others were golfing. We were seated promptly. Others came about 15 minutes later. Were seated at the table beside us, they would not put the tables together, even though the same server was taking care of both tables. It was not an enjoyable experience will not go back. Talked to the manager and he basically said tough luck. We told him that we would not
Be back. He said that is what the Morrises said is the rule. Terra Del Sol is run by the same people and have all together different
standards. We will not be going back to Fenney Grille. If you want any further info send me a private message

It's Morse not Morris. Who the hell do they think they are.... the owners? Oh yeah... they are. I guess they get to make the rules.

Been there at least a half a dozen times and never had a bad experience, now that they are open later with a new dinner menu, the place is even better and doing very well. They have had a hard time finding experienced employees but they learn as they go. As far as the manager, he seems to go out of his way to be sure patrons are well taken care of. Their happy hour applies to all drinks, not just bottom shelf stuff. Great bar and grill.

One of my pet peeves at a restaurant is when you sit down at a table for 2 or 4 and then the staff starts rearranging the tables so that now you are sitting next to a table of 8 or 10 noisy people. If the tables are set up for 4, they should stay that way. Sorry to disagree with you, but large groups are noisy and they ruin a meal for small groups located nearby. I agree with the restaurant.

Never had that problem at Tierra Del Sol getting a table assembled for 6 or more people. Being it's at the golf course you would have groups daily.

Unless the table is round, the only people you can converse with are those adjacent to to across from you==nothing but a huge noise generator

Agree, hate when they combine tables.....never a good experience for those sitting next to large groups. By the way, the Developer doesn't make those rules, he leases the property to the owner of the establishment who makes the rules. Wait, maybe the owners name is Morris....hmmmm.

I think JoMar was referring to the owner of the restaurant not the owner of The Villages.

Anyway, I have been to Fenney Grille 2 or 3 times and at different times of the day. This was very early on after they first opened. I found the wait staff to be great - very cordial and personable - and the food was very good as well. No complaints here.

I have to agree with others on here about large group seatings. It can be very disruptive to other diners. And I also agree with another poster who brought up the point that unless you have a large round table it defeats the purpose anyway. Almost impossible to speak to more than the other 3 people around you without shouting......ergo the noise problem.
