Default Five Guys

It's my understanding that Five Guys started in Alexandria, Va and there are loads of locations in the DC area. I've just noticed the franchises popping up in the last couple of years. I have a niece that is a manager at one in Ga. and she says they are ever so strict about their requirements. EVERYTHING is disposed of each evening and not held over. EVERYTHING is prepped from start each morning. I guess that explains the freshness and consistency of their meals.

Another place for great burgers, in my opinion, is Fuddruckers. big menu, and some of the best store bought chocolate chip cookies I've had (white chocolate with macadamia nuts are awesome). Recently went through bankruptcy and were bought by another restaurant chain, so probably will never get to TV. Also been to Red Robin, while good, found them really over priced.
Fuddruckers that's ashame... Red Robin , one opened last year near we live, I agree, a little overprised but free unlimited fries with your $9 burger are very good.

Default What would Jimmy Buffett Say??

To sum up this thread, he'd say:

"At night I'd had these wonderful dreams
Some kind of sensuous treat
Not zucchini, fettucini or Bulgar wheat
But a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat"

Cheeseburger in paradise - 5 Guys in T.V.

Eeew!
If I ate a meal that big, I would feel like 5 Guys when I left.

I'm just saying.

Thumbs up Zagat Survey Results; best fast burger winner is...

Five Guys...no surprise here

best fast meat & potatoes
although lately (last few visits) have to admit their fries have been oilier than usual...we like-em dry (not oily) & not salty.
