Question Gio's deli

Is it true that Gio sold his deli in Oxford, FL? If so, where did he go?

Even with Giovanni the place was hit and miss at times with service and being charged for menu items correctly.

On our last visit our bill was several dollars different than the menu prices and they said it wasn't their fault since they accidentally gave us the "old" menus. Even though by Florida law, a presented menu is a binding offer to a contracted price. The manager seemed to not understand or pretended to not understand what that means.

Either way, we will likely never go there again due to the above experience. I'm sure we weren't the only ones.

Roberto’s, run by his brother who was formerly the chef at Giovani’s is better.

Around $3-4 per entree but that's besides the point. They were committing theft/fraud. Then they refused to fix it after being caught.

Agreed. We'd NEVER go back if that happened to us.

It's totally illogical on their part.

It's not the customers fault! GET rid of the old menu's.

Thats a crazy excuse for a legit business, but mistakes happen, so they should've HONORED the menu prices and ditched the old menus.

Best Practice, Keep the customers happy!

We've noticed (an Italian restaurant, who shall not be named) up on 441 went from 9.99 to 12.99 for a Cold Sub.

So, yes... several dollarsPer entree... but the issue is~JUST present the correct prices to your loyal and valuable customers, right?!

We've all noticed most restaurants which have had to raise their prices, after Covid hurt their businesses for so long.
Many of us discovered, ( if we didn't already know), that we can make great meals to enjoy at home! Imagine!

So, the OP posed the question above. So far, several comments but NO answer" (pretty much the usual IMHO)

I heard a rumor that Gio's was coming to the new strip mall being built on Bigham Trail off Warmsprings between Fenney and DeSoto. Perhaps this can answer the OP on one of their questions, although I've seen nothing concrete on this... just a rumor.
