Default Diner in Pinellas Plaza

What's the deal with the diner coming to Pinellas Plazas? Looks like it has been delayed. The owners missed the high season.

Darrell's Diner is very good and worth the wait. Things move slow in TV. You can try the one near Stone Crest on 27. There are 6 other locations. It won't matter if they open in July, they will still be busy.

Several of us from my neighborhood went blueberry picking, which was great fun) and after we went to Darrell's in Belleview.

It was a great breakfast/lunch diner. Nothing fancy, but good food! We asked them about the Pinellas location and they verified that it will open in May. We told them that we couldn't wait! It will be quite popular. Good food at the right price! We welcome them!!

Gourmet Club website says they will be licensed for beer and wine too.
(Unlike the other locations.)

Whoa---I know it 5:00 somewhere when it's breakfast time in TV but I will pass on having a beer with my breakfast! Never had the pleasure eating at Darrell's Diner---I love Occasionaly having what in the Midwest we called "blue plate specials".

Three or four much better Breakfast places in the immediate vicinity, all with much better home fried potatoes

1) Rae Raes
2) Billy's Cafe
3) Cottage Inn
4) Athens/Blue Plate Diner (Tie)

Just had lunch at Darrell's Dog Gone Good Diner in Pinellas. I had the Mountain Scrambler (biscuits topped with sausage, scrambled eggs, country gravy and cheese) served with tater wedges or hash browns. My husband had Philly Cheese Steak with onion rings. Mine was $7.99; my husbands, $8.99. Josh was our server. We loved it. We are not from New York so I don't know what a diner is supposed to be, but my southern girl tastebuds were happy.

You must judge a Breakfast place by home fried potatoes. I judge a Breakfast place by the hash browns. I like the hash browns at Darrell's as well as the rest of their breakfast.
