Default Done with Bonifay

Just tried Bonifay for dinner and found it was marginal at best. We have tried it for breakfast and lunch and had the same opinion. I had the chicken cordon blue and it was basically all chicken. The garlic mashed had way too much garlic. This will be our last dinner there!

I hear you neighbor!! Its truly a shame that one has to cross their fingers you might get a decent meal at any Restaurant inside TV's. Everyone has different taste buds but for the most part we do feel most places are just that "marginal"... Outside TV will get the majority of our business. The craziest thing is the nites we eat at home are the meals we enjoy the most...then we go out and have fun!

As far as the mashed potatoes go, there can never be too much garlic.

Agree! If you have any cullinary scruples you must know that virtually all Restaurants in TV are marginal at best.

Agree about the marginal restaurants here in TV. We were just discussing that with our neighbors tonight. We wonder why TV doesn't have an upscale restaurant that uses fresh ingredients, not much fried foods and has consistently good meals. We don't mind paying for good food but we want it to be good all the time. We cook home a lot as well. We know it's healthy and always good!

We went there today for 3pm lunch/dinner.
Service was good
I had steak n wedge entre salad and wife had pot roast with garlic mashed potatoes. Both had crab n corn chowder.

All the food was very good and we cleaned our plates.

My 2nd visit, earlier had coconut shrimp appetizer & spinich dip & potato leak soup. That was also good.

For the price you pay, Bonifay food is excellent.

Default Food

The vast majority of Resteraunts in TV price their food in the range that a lot of people want to spend. Yea they're not 5* meals but they're not 5 star prices either. For the most part the food at Bonifay is pretty good. I love their burgers. If I get tired of eating out we stay home and enjoy a good home cooked meal. If I.m going out for cocktails I want something in my stomach and have something tried and true. As others have said go north to Lopez or Palmer. Although they don't always provide the best as TOTV posts have proven. To each his or hers own tastes. I for one thought their breakfast was pretty darn good for what you paid.

It seems almost everywhere it comes down to "the price you pay."
Everyone's taste and budget are different. To some they would rather pay less and be able to eat more and to some they would be willing to pay more for what they consider higher quality, better tasting food.
Personally, my wife and I prefer the latter but we don't eat out that much. My brother would rather pay less and get a "whole lot of food!"
Whatever suits you!
Just saying!

I like the chain restaurants the best. That way there are a large variety of choices and you pretty much know what you're going to get. I've heard a rumor that we may be getting PF Changs (which I love), and Cheesecake Factory (which I love). That would be awesome. Ate at Longhorn the other night and it was super. I eat at Cane Garden, Mallory and Bonifay often because that's where our golf group goes after golf. Can't say I really have a favorite food at any of those places, but can usually get by. Ate at Cane garden last night and my husband had pan fried white fish and it was awesome. I had the chicken avacado wrap and it was passable. When I go to Bonifay, I struggle to find something that I'll like. I guess I'll have to try the burger.
