Default Restroom at Athens !

For a real honest idea of how clean the eating establishment is,,,go into the restroom at different times of the day,,, you can go into the toilet at Athens anytime of the day and it will be filthy,,, no effort at all to keep it clean... Have tried breakfast 2 times ,,,, both time was a mess,, dirt and scum build up,, long term neglect,,, mouthwash, shaving kit in the men's restroom,,cleaning supplies out in the wide open,,, don't why there are there are never used.
Best place in my book is TooJays in LsL clean all the time,, wait staff always to seem to enjoy there job,, manger comes around an makes sure everything is ok!
Some places dont do that because they are afraid of what they might hear!

Default Dam Diner?

Someone posted but didn't say where it is. Take CR 25 to Ocklawaha and turn right at the traffic light before the Post Office. The Dam Diner is about five miles, or so, up that road. Great food at very reasonable prices.

But the real find is Alfies. Instead of turning right in Ocklawaha, go about two miles further north. There's an Alfies in Ormand Beach too and both are excellent and very reasonable.

Gypsy, I didn't give directions because it's already crowded, LOL. Have to try Alfies next time we get out that way, but I realyy like the ham & eggs at the Dam Dinner.

Every Saturday a large group of us go to Toojays for breakfast at Sumter Landing. We are greeted by Betty and normally are served by Natasha! The menu is extensive and you can order what you want.

Default Sonrise Cafe

Sonrise Cafe in Southern Trace Plaza near Publix is clean, sunny, quick, and very good. The staff are very friendly and the price is reasonable. Best kept secret!

Bob Evans on 466 is the best! Try their blueberry side cakes and also their crepes. Awesome!

Default Breakfast

We second Bob Evans. We also like First Watch off 441 block behind Walgreen's and Denny's. Great variety. They serve breakfast and brunch items.

After hearing all the recomendations I also agree with Alphies and Sonrise Cafe. BUT, nobody beats Reds inside or outside TV.
