I guess we'll have to give it another try. We tried it a few months after it opened and we're not impressed at all. We even went back a couple more times to try other dishes. Yes prices were pretty good as were the portions but still nothing compares to real Chinatown food. One time I tried the Walnut shrimp and the walnuts had a burnt taste to them. Every place around here seems to always lack in the use of Chinese vegetable, where are the bean sprouts, bok choy, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, snow pea pods? Heck even LaChoy canned chow mien has some of these!

It's in the Publix plaza near the hospital on 441 near Buenas Aires. Koyame isn't near the south end of the plaza. Ollies is near the other end.

For the cheapskate diy’ers in the villages here is an alternate route:
Aldis has a variety of Asian sauces available now for $2 a jar. This includes orange sauce, teriyaki sauce and General Tso's sauce. I stir fry whatever veggies and meat I have on hand and add a tablespoon or two of sauce. Don’t forget the garlic, ginger and dried hot peppers if you like it spicy. Take a little cornstarch and shake it up in a jar with a little cold water and throw that in as a thickener. I can cook it, clean it and eat it in less time than doing pick-up for a fraction of the price. Get creative. |

KOYAME is in the Spanish Plaines Publix shopping Center on Route 441...it's the Publix Plaza that has the Central Florida Blood Bank on the far end( right next to the hospital)....Ollies is for dessert...a walk down to the other end of the shopping plaza (next to First Watch).
