Hopefully people that do stop going there to eat and drink will do so based on their own personal experience when they see how downhill the food has gone and how excessive the prices have gone.

Being from Wisconsin, Pizza is supposed to have a lot of cheese. It's just your opinion.

Nothing. I doubt that the restaurant owner was in the restaurant when I was there. But, I did talk to the owner through the feedback system on their website. And when they didn't reply, I sent them a follow-up message. I got no response whatsoever. If the owner doesn't read the feedback messages on their own website, that is failure of management.

I don't have a problem with people who like a lot of cheese on their pizza. However, for the past 3 years or so, they have used a recipe that I liked, until someone decided to change it.

Oh sure, stiff the hard working wait staff because you didn't like the cheese to sauce ratio.....

Your response was not confusing. It took the cheese:sauce problem for you to stop going. Not the increase in prices....

Otherwise, you would have already stopped going, no?

One thing everyone seems to be missing here is that this pizza was not the same as the OP had in the past. When we go into a restaurant and order a meal (Pizza, Pasta, Steak, Chicken, Fish, etc.) that we've had there in the past it should be consistent. We pay top dollar to dine in restaurants in and around the Villages and we should expect a consistency in the food that is served. The same is true of service as well. Think about why you frequent a restaurant and what you expect your meal and service to be like. If that faulters even one time then that restaurant is not maintaining the quality of their food service and/or their staff. When the management ignores a complaint, however it is expressed, they show a lack of caring about their customers. You will find that many of these poorly managed restaurants either don't care or are so overwhelmed that complaints are the least of their overburdening problems of trying to manage their business.

Maybe everyone else was complaining that there wasn't enough cheese on their pizza, so they changes the recipe to satisfy the majority of customers...

Or maybe the cook grabbed a bit too much cheese for your pizza that one time.

My wife and I frequent a certain Italian restaurant back in MD.

They tend to undercook the fish to her liking. A bit too soft and loose. Apparently, that's how most people like it. After the first time they did it, she makes sure to ask for her fish to be more well done... Problem solved...

And my bet is she never posted a complaint on social media.😎⭐️

It amazes me how passionate people are about what place does the best job of throwing together a totally unhealthy mix of carbs and grease, bakes it, and slices it up.

Maybe, but they could have replied to my feedback message where I asked those very questions. But, they chose to ignore me. When I order a pizza, I don't want to tell the restaurant how to make it. They should have a good, consistent recipe in the first place, so I know what I will get. If they don't use a recipe that I like, I'll go somewhere else.
