My guess is that they just were lax in filing their business tax stuff at the right time so as to reflect the two employee requirement for their E2 VISA.

Why say the state is closing them down. Can't they have someone run the business until they sort this out and possibly return? They did not fulfill all the requirements of the visa so whose fault is that?

Not fake news, I saw the show on the local news with interview of the owners. It appears there is/was a problem with their visa, and they were given until May 2nd to leave the USA. They stated on the news show there were apparently no possible appears either.
