That tiny island called Monkey Island. It was always busy with water skiers and boaters. We’d tie up a bunch of tubes and hang out getting dragged behind the boat. The world famous water skiers lived here in Leesburg and had a training school on Lake Harris. That lake was filled with skiers and boaters but now it’s only a few fisherman. Sadly…. Sammy Duvall lived in the apartments on the corner of 9th street and 27. The building is still there. Having said all that, the fried green tomato’s are pretty good.
Did I miss something.....you said ‘sadly’ referring to Sammy Duvall. Last I knew he had a great ski school at WDW?

Love Ski Beach and Venetian Gardens is such a beautiful park.

They have FINALLY put up Idle speed only buoys at the island. It's long overdue. All the boats at Venetian Cove marina were getting beat to death with people flying around in there.

That's about the right price for a pound of pastrami, which is what you get at Katz's.

I've only been to Ski Beach. How does the view/ambience compare at Eaton's Beach? Is it worth the extra drive to check it out?
