I love the sweet strong Southern iced tea.

I like the slaw.

I doubt if it will get the Mobil five star but it gets all five of mine.
We ate at Oakwood last night, the 1/2 rack combo with chopped pork, beans and fries ................. yuuuummmmmmmmmmmm! We were going to go to Woody's in Wildwood on the recommendation of a friend, but it was closed so traveled to Oakwood and didn't regret it.

Went to the Sonny's off of 75 in Ocala the past two weeks after golf and everyone enjoyed what they had. Some even asked for a "traveler" and got a huge ice tea or soft drink to go included with the meal.

Been there twice. Not world class but not bad for the price. Service was good both times

Went to Sonny's at LSL today. It was very good. Baby back ribs falling off the bone, BBQ beans to die for, sweet corn-on-the-cobb, soft cornbread, great iced tea. Butter generously provided. Lunch special $9. Very satisfied. Only wish I'd had room to eat more!

Been to Sonny's several times. Was at the LSL one on our LSV.

Good service, Good food - no complaints from me (to each his own).

Have you tried the corn huskies? (not sure if that's the real name). It is an appetizer of creamed corn in a batter - Yummy!

Sonny's had a bad rep when I moved here 4 years ago and I never went there. Now they have lots of competition. Maybe some other restaurant will take that space.

Are you saying they are closing? I haven't heard anything about that.

No, I didn't mean that. Just wishful thinking

Sorry can't agree, I like them. The best way to deal with negative comments is to try for myself and form my own opinions regarding food/service. We all have different likes/dislikes.

Could be missing out listening to others............jmho

Quite true Chuckster. I had read negative reviews about Sonny's but decided to try it anyway. It was clean, friendly, and very good. Will definitely return. Perhaps the management has changed from the time of the previous poor reviews?

I agree.
If one followed the negative comments.............there isn't a place in TV worth going to.
