In just about any social situation, there are three ways to handle situations that make you uncomfortable: embrace it, avoid it, or just gripe about it. Embracing it will open you up to new experiences, some you may or may not end up liking. Avoiding it may ensure you don't have to be exposed to the situation. Griping about it only serves to make other people decide which choice to go with in socializing with you.

I have never eaten at a restaurant where dogs were present, but I would embrace eating a meal on a patio with a dog in the vicinity; I would avoid at all costs eating a meal with a person griping about dogs being allowed on restaurant patios.

I would rather eat with a few dogs, instead of some people that live here.

Why on earth would you begrudge a few restaurants that allow dogs on the patio?
I believe that the folks complaining about this, do it for the sake of complaining. They NEED something to complain about, so this is the one they chose for now. It's always something....the dogs, the food, the waiter, the weather, the wait, etc., etc. they most likely have never even seen a dog at a restaurant patio......they just need to complain.

Square 1 serves a quality product in a very classy atmosphere. It's just awesome that they allow pups on their patio and took the extra steps to do this legally within the law. They are very busy and will do just fine without the few people who feel the need to complain. Smile....it's a new day!!,

I have never eaten at a restaurant where dogs were present, but I wouldn't embrace it. Actually I could care less if they were there or not.

Those "bitter old people" have dogs too, and dogs reflect their owners' nasty attitude toward others when out in public.

Square 1 is a nice change of pace. Everybody was inside with A/C. Hope it does well.

I would rather see a little dog sitting on a porch at a restaurant than locked in a hot car while the owners ate! Besides, I think a dog laying at it's owners feet is more appealing than a toddler in a high chair, screaming, throwing food and covered in applesauce with a poopy diaper.

I would rather see a dog at a restaurant than an old dude with a comb over and a bad dye job. Unfortunately, the latter prevails here.
