Tried several restaurants in TV (with better reviews) and decided to cook at home afterwards. The problem invariably (over decades) was the food was not fresh enough and had little taste.

Default casual dining

We need more fast casual options.

Correct. The good quality was not the greatest either. Having said that, hubby and I will be going to Demshar's new location at Stonecrest in a couple of days only because we will be going to a dinner show with Johnny Wild and the Delights. The entertainment is the draw for us, not the food.

Nowhere did I see the paranoia that exists in the villages with regard to COVID-19. We were probably the only place that had an entire population at high risk of dying from that damned virus. It's a little hard to sally forth when the mortality rate for us old buzzards is ten percent if we catch it. Plus. Restaurants closings are happening everywhere.

Their absence has made our Forum much better again. They sometimes don't put themselves in the other person's shoes. What kind of letter should be left outside of any business that is closing? A Love Letter? I don't think so. Maybe the person who penned the letter just had to lay off the people who made him look good for years. Just like the Posters who have left us other restaurants will fill the spots these empty ones will leave. Spanish Springs is not finished. The Virus is not finished either.

It all is a shame but Demshars, TooJays, and Codys didn't order up the current Pandemic. It wasn't even on the menu. I predict that everything will end up being just fine for everyone involved in the end. Let time play out. How many imminent disasters were lurking over our community? Many is the answer and we're still here so far living a good life. Any bit of news sends some of us into a frenzy.
I 100% agree with your quote. I think we have to realize there is a pandemic and many businesses will suffer.
In addition to giving oxygen to shameful quotes, I would say that pure speculation with no facts also leads to hysteria and baseless (99% of the time negative) conclusions by posters.

One should read the post, that stated how many times we ate at a restaurant. Sorry if I am paying for food I need to enjoy it. So to your response,
TooJays is not the deli food I grew up on.
Cody’s menu reminds me of fast food, which we do not eat. Just because you retire doesn’t mean you stop making healthy choices.
Demshers was not cheap, food was OK.
KBs in 07 was the place to be, as the years went on food, went down hill fast.

We don’t eat at a restaurant that I can make it better at home.
Please tell me of what restaurant here with fancy overpriced food, in TV.
If I am eating out it’s about the food, the experience, and the service. Other wise I can sous vide a steak mid rare, with a bottle of cakebread, and be very happy.

Agreed. Why do people think we should risk our lives to eat at restaurants during the height of the pandemic?

Now that things are better we have started to eat at restaurants but very carefully and making sure they are doing things properly.

And who’s fault is why stores, restaurants are closing because of people not going out? If things were handle correctly from the beginning maybe things would be different?

You must have a different definition of nast gram as I saw the sign and in my opinion there’s no way the posting could be considered a nasty gram. What a few seem to forget that specific to Spanish Springs and the entertainment which helped restaurants with customers, many who attended the free entertainment were not residents of the villages. Villagers alone could never keep those restaurants with the customer stream they require to be marginally profitable.

Shame they tried to blame the customers. The two times I tried that place during previous trips to TV the service was slow and the food was average at best, less of a value when you consider the cost. Yes, COVID had an impact on their business but diminishing service and quality also was a factor.
