I don't remember Evergreen ever being in Colony. I always remember it being in Pinellas.

You are correct. Evergreen is a family spinoff of China Gourmet in Colony Plaza. Both frequently have unsatisfactory ratings by the health department, and both have been closed at various times for failing to deal with serious violations.

The current rating for China Gourmet is 43 (out of 100). Evergreen currently has the highest rating I have seen it given. 93!

Panda Express? You have to be kidding! That's about as far from Chinese food as you can get. I spent most of my working life in downtown NYC and got used to having Chinatown, with its dozens of restaurants, close by. Having several Chinese colleagues who helped me handle the menus, some of which were not in English, was a positive too. Some restaurants were good, some were bad but all were better than Panda Express.

No, I'm really not a person that kids around. Why do you think I'm kidding? Have you eaten there before and you're surprised that there is another person that likes it, or are you one of those that only eats at the hooty, snooty places and looks down on those that find enjoyable food at a place you wouldn't dare be seen in? To each their own.

Did you tell them about your dissatisfaction? It appears you didn't, and just went to feeding the grinder.

Having been in business, I kinda of know the mentality of the people who serve that kind of junk--there are always plenty of newcomers & tourists to keep them in business--they will never do anything to make it right-my wife still has the receipt & wants to go back & speak to the owner/mgr

I told , don't do it --its not worth the aggravation

Our favorite Chinese restaurant is Chengs which is located on 466 in front of Walmart. We have been customers of theirs for years and have never been disappointed.

Ever eat at 4-5-6 on East Broadway just off the Bowery and Canal St.? Menu in Chinese, waiters do not speak English, but probably the best Szechuan in the city. And of course there's always Wo Hop's

1. Should you have possibly let them know first. I run my own business also. If I goof (and we all do on occasion) I'd like to know before being smeared on the net. Maybe they would have made it right having been given a chance?? You never know.
2. Your wanting a refund for food you threw out last week?

I told my wife to stay away from the place-she went because she thought she would be treating a special dish--they deserved to be smeared- it was nothing but warmed over old food-I know ok food this stuff should have been trashed--also I never said I wanted a refund-this place is in my tail lights-I don't want any other villagers to get screwed !! This is beyond agoof--,IMHO<this is their game plan--

Default Chinese food

I stay away from any restaurant that doesn't have cats hanging around the back door!

We went last week for lunch special. Sesame chicken was not crispy, kind of rubbery. Vegetables were pretty bland. Wouldn't recommend.
