Default How can I order furniture from Carolina's?

Anyone know how to order furniture from the large furniture showrooms in the Carolina's and have it shipped here? I'd love the contact info of such a place. Thanks.

North Carolina Furniture Discounters This is one site that might help you. They appear to be an agent for N.Carolina Furniture. Open the site and over on the left hand side there is a box where you can chose the brand you would most like to see.

Hope this helps. Also, there is loads of information on the internet for Carolina furniture. I use www.ask.com as a search engine, find it very easy to use.

Default Ordering Furniture from NC

I have ordered furniture several times from hickoryfurniture.com in Hickory, NC. There are several stores in the Mart which carry various brands of furniture, and I have even travelled to the Mart itself to purchase. If different stores carry the furniture manufacturers you are looking for, they will consolidate your purchases for one freight bill. You may also have to pay FL sales tax on your furniture if the truck is stopped on it's way to your home. You usually pay 1/3 down which can be put on a credit card, and then when your furniture is ready to be shipped, you have to send an Official bank check to pay the balance. You also have to pay the drivers for the freight with an Official Bank check. I've been pleased with their prices & service regarding problems. I ordered a lot of furniture from them in the fall of 2006, but have only purchased one item from them since. I found that Southern Lifestyles here in TV could meet or beat their prices, so I luckily ordered several items from them before they closed.

Another source is Furniture Land South, & I have been told that you do have to pay sales tax on items they ship, but I personally have never used them. It all depends on which manufacturers you want to order from & which source carries it.

Hope this info helps!

Default Good info from flboomer

We lived 20 miles from Hickory, NC...GREAT furniture market, Henredon, Drexel, Baker, Broyhill and many many more....You will do so much better if you go, great place to visit, go check out Biltmore in Asheville but wait until spring and see the blooming dogwoods everywhere!....My husband was fortunate to have many patients that worked in the factories, so we were able to get most of our furniture at employee discounts....Go tarheels!

I used Furnitureland South to order our bedroom furniture here. I worked with a fellow named Jay Pridgen. I did have to pay sales tax. I am including part of an email from them explaining about the sales tax. At the time I ordered, if your total was $4000 or more the delivery and setup was free. The guys that delivered and setup our furniture said they have 4 trucks coming to FL each and every week. We were very, very satisfied and will order from them again when the time comes. Here is part of the e-mail:

We required a 50% deposit payable by Visa, Mastercard, Discover & Amex. The remainder can be paid by Credit Card or Personal check @ time of delivery.

Yes, in 2007 all states that have a State Sales Tax required Furniture companies in North Carolina to collect & remit the sales tax of the state/county where the furniture is being delivered.

I ordered from homeliving.com in New Jersey through the internet. White glove delivery, numerous brand names that are carried in most better furniture stores, best pricing, and best of all the owners were there to help with any questions.
Ask for Deepak. He did an awesome job.
I bought the entire house of furniture and not one piece had a problem when delivered.
Hope this helps. :-)

I have done business with Furniture Land South and been very happy. I have frequently seen their trucks in The Villages.

See link below.
