Question Drying clothes

I was looking for some feedback about drying clothes that don't go in the dryer. Since we've arrived 3 months ago we put our wet clothes on hangars in the closet. Now that its getting warmer and more humid I thought that may not be the best place. I have no idea where to put them for quick drying.
Any ideas?

I have a clothes line in the garage, near the washer/dryer. I just put two C hooks into the wall (like the ones for hanging plants) I have a premeasured cord that has loops at both ends. This way I throw up the clothes lines while my other clothes are in the dryer. When the clothes on the line dry, I just roll up the cord and put it away so that you never even see it.

We hang on hangers from the wire maid shelves in the garage. Dry overnight no problems.

They go into the garage and hang from the shelving. Usually dry within an hour or two. Of course, in the colder weather, it may take over night to dry.

I put my shirts, shorts in the dryer for 3 minutes tops. This gets out all of the wrinkles. Then I hang them in our closet in the laundry room or sometimes on the lanai. I've never had a problem with them smelling musty from hanging in the laundry room. I do keep my air conditioning vent open in the laundry room and the door open.

Why not just use the dryer to dry clothes? Thar's what it's for. Why make laundry harder than it has to be? I'm sorry but I don't understand the need for hanging wet stuff to dry when we have machines that do the job for us.

We installed a retractable clothesline (from Lowes - sure HD has them also) in our garage. Works great and is out of the way when not in use.

Not everything can go in the dryer because if they are dried all the way they shrink. I do put towels, sheets, underwear in the dryer, but in order to keep my nice tops and shorts the same size and looking nice I put them in the dryer only long enough to remove the wrinkles.

There was a renter on our street that hung all her beach towels on the white picket fence for all to enjoy. Not a pretty sight!!
