Default I am very proud of my birth state, which is OHIO.

We come from all over here in The Villages and we are justifiably proud of our roots. Here is a nice salute to Ohio.

Tell us what you love about YOUR place of birth.

Oh, wow Gracie, that was a nice video but it made me a bit homesick! Maybe I need to get a Cincinnati fix!

I miss the county fairs in Ohio. Very little changes throughout the years.

I loved the May Festival in Cincy;

We have the number one Heart Hospital in the U.S. The Cleveland Clinic
And Cincinnati Children's Hospital ranks second in the country right behind the wonderful Boston Children's Hospital.

Boston - at the center of our Revolutionary War and I have at least five relatives who fought in it.

I'm also from Boston, but my ancestors were all in Canada and Italy at the time of the Revolution. Both sets of grandparents came here in the early 1900s.

My mom's family is old Yankee, but my dad was first generation Italian born here.

Default I love Ohio

Ohio is/was a great place to live. I love the video you posted. I am from from Cincinnati home of the Reds and the Bengals, both of which are doing well this year. It is also home to University of Cincinnati and many other great colleges and universities. UC medical center is world renowned and Cincinnati children's is the top in the treatment of childhood cancer. When I worked in radiation therapy we had people coming from all around to get treated in Cincy.
Most importantly, however, it was home to Gracie, Carol and I. Did I forget to mention the home of Cincinnati chili which is also nationally famous. The hot dog place at Brownwood market serves Cincy chili on their hot dogs. At least they say they do, it isn't what I remember. All the stores around here sell SKYLINE chili in the frozen food sections. Graters and Aglamesis ice cream is to die for. The Octoberfest in Cincy is second only to Munich and the St Pat's parade ranks way up there. NMow I am really home sick.

Thumbs down Massachusetts

I have no reason to be proud of Massachusetts. The only thing I did there was get born. I never lived there and I have no memory of the hospital where I was born. It's all a blur.

I was born in Wellingborough, England and came to NYC with my mom in 1948. I was a year and a half old, couldn't speak the language and didn't have a penny to my name. What a great country!

If I could time travel, I would love to go back to the West Side of Manhattan in the '50s and early '60's. What a magnificent place to grow up. I miss it and am proud that I had the opportunity.

Lived in Ohio for a year but new York is home for me.

Living in the old Italian neighborhood with it's feast in the fifty's, was a grand time. Playing stickball in the streets, and everyone in the neighborhood watching out for you, good and bad.

You can take the boy out of New York City, but you can't take the New York City, out of the boy.

BTW - I wouldn't write home, praising the New York roads. Some potholes are so big, you lose sight of the front end, when entering.

Not from Cinc but drove through it to get to Covington or as we called it in the 60's Sin City. From Toledo and then Cleveland. Ohio is a great place to be from.
